This August, Great Britain Wheelchair Rugby heads to São Paulo, Brazil, for the 2026 World Wheelchair Rugby Championships, where the world's best teams will battle it out for global glory. Great Britain will face Denmark, Colombia, Germany, Japan and France in the group stages.

Five group games. One goal.
From the first whistle to Finals Day, every hit, every turnover and every try will matter.

Can't make it to Brazil?
Every match from the World Championships will be streamed live on the official World Wheelchair Rugby YouTube channel, so you can follow GB every step of the way.

Tuesday 18 August
* Denmark v Great Britain – 13:00 BST
* Great Britain v Colombia – 21:30 BST

Wednesday 19 August
* Germany v Great Britain – 13:30 BST
* Great Britain v Japan – 21:00 BST

Thursday 20 August
* France v Great Britain – 23:00 BST

All times shown are British Summer Time (BST). Fixtures are based on the official tournament schedule.

Following the group stage, the top four teams from each pool will progress to the quarter-finals on 21 August. Semi-finals take place on 22 August before the World Championship medals are decided on Finals Day, Sunday 23 August. Teams not progressing to the quarter-finals will compete in classification matches.

Today is the Day!!!!

The Lions have been growing and evolving pretty rapidly and with that means we need to keep up with the progress.

From today we will be hitting our NEW training times:

The Lions 🦁 (Seniors) will now train on a
Friday from 4pm to 7pm

The Lion 🦁 Cubs (Juniors 8years +) will stay on a Sunday but start at 12pm and wrap up at 2pm

Venue stays the same Rossmore Leisure Centre
