Just Alan and Shane at The Dock today, on a sometimes wet and windy day.
It was a Whip v Feeder match, with The Pensioner running out the winner with 13lb of whip caught small roach from peg 9, to Shane's 9lb of feeder caught fish from peg 8. Shane had a couple of decent perch and one small skimmer in his otherwise small roach net. Another fiver made its way to Alan's Xmas Fund!
Next match is on Sunday, contact Alan if interested in fishing it.

Just The God and myself again at The Dock, on a very windy day, but we managed to avoid most of the heavy showers.
Alan was on 16 with myself on 17. We both fished the whip but only caught very small roach. With a couple of hours to go I decided to fish the feeder as there was a bit of colour in The Dock for a change, wrong choice, as all I could muster was a solitary small skimmer, and half a dozen small roach.
The weigh in was a formality, with Alan weighing 11lb 14oz to my 6lb 14oz. So another fiver goes the way of Mr Godridge, he is making a habit of this lately!

Just Alan and Steve at The Dock today, so they decided to have a whip match on pegs 8 and 9.
Steve prevailed with a nice 17lb net of roach from peg 8, to Alan's 13lb. It's nice to see a few fish being caught from The Dock at present.
There is a match on Sunday, if interested, please name on here.

Showery weather for today's match at The Dock, although it was mild. There were some fish caught today, including a mullet, bream, odd skimmers and plenty of small roach.
Winning today again was The God - Alan Godrich. After a slow start fishing from peg 21, Alan eventually started to catch roach on 5m whip, and also had a bonus 4lb mullet, which he did well to land, and finished up with 14lb 2oz.
Second was Mick Fraser. Mick fished the feeder to catch a nice 3lb bream, half a dozen small skimmers, together with some small roach, and weighed 11lb 13oz from peg 19.
1st = Alan Godrich - 14lb 2oz (peg 21)
- Whip
2nd = Mick Fraser - 11lb 13oz (peg 19)
- Feeder
3rd = Gerald Parker - 9lb 13oz (peg 17)
- Feeder
4th = Chris Haymore - 8lb 4oz (peg 16)

If anyone is interested in fishing a match on Wednesday, please leave message on here.

Today was The Peter Williams Memorial Match at The Dock. It is 2 years since Peter passed away, but is still missed by everyone. Peter was a great man, both a great angler and great person, and had an infectious personality, and all anglers would have been thinking of fun times spent in his company today. Anglers travelled from as far as Bristol for today's match, a true testament to the high regard he was held in.
The match was excellently organised and run by Steve O'Mara today, and the prize giving was held in Blanco's after the match. Peter's daughter Zara was present, along with his grandchildren for the presentation of the annually contested shield, held in his memory, and we were very grateful for their attendance.
Although a very poignant day, a match still had to be contested, and unfortunately it fished even harder than usual, with several blanks including 4 anglers in a row without a bite between them. I bet Peter was looking down having one of his wry chuckles.
Winner of a very low weight, yet close match was the Cardiff Superstar Richie Candy. Richie caught all his fish on the feeder today for a change, which included 2 skimmers, a nice perch and some small roach, despite losing several fish to pike, including a 1lb+ perch. Richie weighed 4lb 13oz from peg 18.
Second was Matthew (Wiggy). Fishing from peg 16, Wiggy caught a nice 1lb+ perch, and added to some small roach, weighed 4lb 8oz. All his fish were caught on the feeder.
1st = Richie Candy - 4lb 13oz (peg 18)
- Feeder
2nd = Wiggy - 4lb 8oz (peg 16)
- Feeder
3rd = Phil Lewis - 4lb 6oz (peg 21)
- Whip
4th = John Clements - 4lb 4oz (peg 19)
- Feeder
5th = Steve O'Mara - 3lb 8oz (peg 10)
- Feeder

Just 3 anglers at The Dock today, The God, Marge and Steve Roberts.
After Alan caught 25lb+ of quality roach on the whip on Monday from peg 17, in unfavouable fishing conditions too, he was licking his lips when he drew the same peg today, with a nice warm SW breeze and more cloud cover then Monday.
Mmmmm, the Moody Mistress once again had other ideas tho, and was at her unyielding best, with very few fish caught, with the whip line being totally unproductive, and the feeder producing just the odd bite.
Marge took the spoils today, helped by a 1lb+ perch in his 3lb net, with Alan and Steve only having 2lb each.
Peter Williams Memorial Match is on Sunday, contact Steve O'Mara for details.

No match today, as there was a big match elsewhere.
As usual, The God Alan Godrich was there, and he was joined by Steve Roberts today for his Dual at The Dock.
Steve went on peg 17, so Alan fished next to him on peg 16. Alan fished the whip as usual, and caught 13lb 11oz of mainly small roach, but he did manage to land a big perch and also a '6oz mullet'.
Steve alternated between whip and feeder, and finished with 8lb 12oz, consisting of a couple skimmers and some small roach, to begrudgingly hand over his fiver to Alan.
Not sure if there is a match on Wednesday, but next Sunday is the rearranged Peter Williams Memorial Match. Steve O'Mara is organising this match.

With the big Memorial Match cancelled due to possible bad weather and high water levels, with the severe weather now being forecast for later in the day, some of us fished a match there today, although it was still quite windy. It was definitely the right choice by Steve to cancel the match tho, as some of the pegs and walkways, especially on the boards, were totally under water.
Winner today was Beefy. Fishing from peg 17, Beefy caught 1 nice bream and 7 skimmers on the feeder, and some roach on the whip to weigh 9lb 15oz.
Second was Paul Grist. Paul fished the whip to catch 116 roach of differing size and weighed 8lb 5oz from peg 16.
1st = Beefy - 9lb 15oz (peg 17)
- Whip/Feeder
2nd = Paul Grist - 8lb 5oz (peg 16)
- Whip
3rd = Chris Haymore - 6lb 10oz (peg 15)
- Whip/ Feeder
4th = Gerald Parker - 6lb 7oz (peg 6)
- Whip/Feeder
There will be a match on Wednesday if enough anglers are interested.
