🏊‍♂️ Puffins Gala Success for Bridgend Sharks🦈

Bridgend Sharks enjoyed a fantastic day out at the Pembrokeshire Puffins Disability Swimming Gala, held on Friday 8th November 2025 at Haverfordwest Leisure Centre.
Eight of our Sharks took part in the invitation event, which filled the entire pool hall and was superbly run by the Pembrokeshire Puffins Disability Swimming Squad with help from volunteers and Young Ambassadors from HHVCS.
Our swimmers rose to the occasion, achieving a host of personal best times and bringing home a collection of well-earned medals. 🥇🥈🥉🏅
They were brilliantly supported throughout by our dedicated coaches.
Huge congratulations to all the Sharks who competed – you did the club proud! 🦈🏊‍♂️

Dearest Sharkies…you swim out of your skins every time. I couldn’t ask for anymore. Bossed the 4x50 relays twice and crowned champs again! Made losing 12 stone in sweat worth it.

February Half Term Autism Friendly Swimming Lessons!

Halo are excited to welcome back our Autism Friendly Swimming lessons for February half-term! We are pleased to make available our Autism Friendly Swimming lessons for children aged 4+ at Ynysawdre Swimming Pool as follows;

- 3 day programme Tuesday 22nd February- Thursday 24th February.
- 30 minute slots which will be allocated to you between (9:45; 10:30; 11:15).*
- £19.50 or £13.80 (Concessions for families qualifying for certain means tested benefits).


*Please note that if you would like to request a specific time, while we cannot guarantee, we will endeavour to accommodate you.

Lessons will again be taught by specially trained swimming teachers to support children with Autism on a small group basis.


To apply, please complete and return the completed registration form no later than Sunday 30th of January whilst noting that spaces are limited and registrations will be closed when capacity has been reached. (If you have previously registered with us, we kindly ask you to re-register)
