Good luck to the players, coaches and committee. Let’s hope it’s another successful season.”

⏪ On this day 10 years ago …
Our seniors beat Penlan away on the last day of the season, in what was a must-win game to seal the Division 2 title! 🏆
You may recognise a few young pups (plus a few veterans still going 😉) from that squad in this year’s title-winning team.
See anyone you recognise in both sides - Let us know in the comments 👇
Little clue …. there’s a young ball boy from 10 years ago - now in this years side 👀

As the season finishes, the thank-yous continue..
This time, our thanks go out to two very important people at the club, and in particular to the players 📸🎥
Brian David has followed the Quins for a couple of seasons now, but this season we’ve adopted (some say kidnapped 😉) him as one of our own. His commitment to every single game this year has been amazing — home and away, league and cup. Brian has gone above and beyond to capture this special season and has given us hard-copy memories that we can look back on for a lifetime 🙌🏻
We’re very lucky & grateful to have Brian’s commitment - thank you bri!
Keith Quins is the ultimate clubman. Most will see him week in, week out with his camera, filming in all weather conditions so that the players can do their analysis — he even goes as far as clipping set pieces for the coaching! 🙏
But that’s not where Keith’s work finishes. After home games, he’s helping in the kitchen to feed both sides and collecting rubbish to make sure the club is looking tip-top! Keith has been a massive part of the success of both the club and the team this season, and we’re extremely grateful to have him with us 🙏
Thank you keith!

Aberavon Harlequins RFC – A Season of Achievement Made Possible
Through Partnership with JES Group
Introduction-
Aberavon Harlequins RFC is proud to share the story of a remarkable season, one that has
seen our club crowned WRU West Central League 2 Champions, promoted to WRU West
Central League 1 for the 2026/27 season, and reach the WRU Division 2 Cup Final at the
Principality Stadium in April.
These achievements belong to our players, coaches and volunteers but they have been made
possible through the steadfast support of JES Group Ltd, whose commitment to the community
in Port Talbot goes far beyond words.
In what continues to be a challenging economic period for our town, JES’s support is critical to
clubs like ourself.
Supporting a Community Club in Difficult Times
Port Talbot has faced significant uncertainty in recent years. The well‑publicised changes within
the steel industry, and the wider impact on local employment and supply chains, have affected
families and businesses across our community. Like many grassroots sports clubs, we operate
in an environment where financial pressures are real and increasing.
Against this backdrop, the backing of JES Group has provided stability, confidence and belief.
Their sponsorship has allowed us to plan properly, prepare thoroughly and compete with
ambition. It has ensured that we can continue to provide opportunities for players of all ages,
maintain high standards and create an environment where people feel proud to belong.
For a community club, that kind of partnership is invaluable.
A Landmark Season
The 2025/26 season will be remembered as one of the most significant in our club’s history.
-League Champions – WRU West Central League 2
-Promotion to WRU West Central League 1 (2026/27)
-WRU Division 2 Cup Finalists
Success at this level requires commitment, organisation and consistency. It demands
preparation both on and off the field. The support of JES Group has played a crucial role in
providing the foundation that allows our rugby to flourish.
When local businesses choose to stand behind their community clubs, it creates the conditions
for success. This season is clear evidence of that.
More Than Rugby
Aberavon Harlequins is not simply about results. We are a focal point for families, young
players, long‑standing supporters and volunteers. We are a place where lifelong friendships are
formed and where values such as teamwork, discipline and resilience are developed.
In challenging economic times, sport becomes even more important. It provides:
-Structure and opportunity for young people
-A positive outlet for energy and ambition
-A shared sense of pride for the wider community
-Physical and mental wellbeing benefits
Our recent achievements have lifted spirits across Aberavon and Port Talbot. They have given
our community something to celebrate and rally behind.
That positive impact extends well beyond the pitch.
Corporate Commitment That Makes a Difference
We are deeply grateful that JES Group and its long‑established, 44 year commitment to
supporting local organisations like ours continues.
Their investment in grassroots sport reflects a genuine understanding that strong communities
and strong businesses go hand in hand.
At a time when many clubs are facing uncertainty, JES has shown leadership and belief in the
power of local sport. Their support strengthens not just our first team, but the wider fabric of our
club and the community we serve.
Conclusion
Aberavon Harlequins RFC’s promotion and cup success are milestones we will cherish. But they
are also shared achievements.
They reflect what can be accomplished when a community club and a community‑minded
business work together with trust and common purpose.
On behalf of everyone at Aberavon Harlequins RFC, players, coaches, volunteers and
supporters, we extend our sincere thanks to the JES Group. Their support has helped us
achieve one of the most successful seasons in our history and has reinforced our belief that,
even in challenging times, Port Talbot’s community spirit remains strong and unite
