Noticed the classes are getting less people each week, we understand the season is drawing to a finish but the club isn't shut yet guys we still have lots of shows etc coming up 🥊

Our seven champions all in the gym tonight, five welsh champions & two via W/O who were bankers for the vest.

Still buzzing from the weekend, now one big push till the four nations & finish the 2025/26 season 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🥇

Well what a successful schools and minior national championship that was for pontyclun.

Very proud of the club and how each an every boxer competed the weekend, two boxers narrowly missed out on getting to the finals losing on split decisions but that's top level boxing. The others all come away with medals 🥇🥇🥇🥇🥈

More importantly the way the lads support each other is something you can't train, each boxer celebrating for their mates like they just won proper team spirit 🤝

The club year on year have grown & that's credit to each and every member that puts the time and effort in, iron sharpens iron.

2026 has been by far our biggest year & still not over with most medals & nationals won & not forgetting the world class facilities we have at LYONS DEN GYM, very grateful & lucky to be in the position we are in.

Da dawn to Ashton on a great performance in the final and Pontyclun ABC on their 2nd champion of the 2026 Minors and Schools Championships 🥊

Mixed bag of results today -

Ashton won uni
John Henry lost split
Tiger lost split

First up was Ashton, previously Ashton lost last two abouts against this opponent but Ashton boxed out of skin getting the win by all 5 judges secring himself a place in tomorrows finals

Next up was John Henry against Chepstow Oliver Vaughn, this was a very close bout with two of wales top prospects, unfortunately we lost on split, best of luck in the final

Last but not least was our tiger, tiger started strong with dominant first round then his opponent claiming the second which put it all on the last, last round was very close but our opponent from Cwmgors claiming the victory via again split dec, again good luck in the final

One thing as a club we are very proud of is the way the boxers conducted themselves in an after the bouts, sportsmanship at the highest level 🤝

Well what can we say, our Harry did it, first bout & won the national minior championship in the best bout of the night.
