Great couple of sessions at Kilmuir Hall & Community this week with some ace young people. Some great young skaters so we progressed beyond tic-tacs to some carving turns and then threw it all together and did some slalom lines, carving between helmets with some full turns at the end of the hall.

Well done to guys who came and gave skating a try for the first time - loads of progress in just an hour 👏🏻

Tearing up Portree Community Centre last night 🤩🔥🛹

Really great progress from a group of complete novices, progressing to board flips and pushing and gliding 👏🏻

Followed by some improvers who were carving up the big space. The participants were working on proper (3-step) pushing technique and combing pushing with tic-tacs to glide and turn while keeping up momentum 🫡

Kudos to our first parent for getting involved and having some fun 🤙🏻

Really stoked but also sorry to say the Get Rolling sessions at Portree Community Centre are now FULLY BOOKED 🎉

Both sessions at Kilmuir Hall & Community are filling up quickly with a couple of spots left on both 👀

Please keep an eye on your emails as we may ask your child or young person to change session time to better match abilities and numbers 🤙🏻🛹

Portree & Braes Community Trust SCIO

The Braes crew were shredding last night 🔥🤙🏻🛹

2x sessions, for novices and then beginners. We had boys and girls, from ages 6-14, with everyone coming away having mastered something they couldn't do before 👏🏻

180s on and off boards, board flips, pushing off and cruising, with some participants getting to grips with tic-tacs (a way of rapidly turning left and right to generate speed without pushing).

Well done to all the participants and we look forward to seeing what you can nail next ✅️✅️✅️

A huge thank you to Simon Parker for his all his hard work getting our trailer watertight!

New vent, panels, overhang door guard and plenty of detective work finding the various leak points that Skye weather was exposing.

Last (hopefully) hurdle unseizing a brake which the kind folks at Jans are helping us with tomorrow.
