Small offshore waves just about surface for an absolute beginner on a softboard who has never done it before. Great to see a huge amount of our Norn Iron Surging Community enjoying the waves yesterday as we have had a wave drought for so long. More swell coming next week I’ll do my best to keep you up to date. If you’re thinking of investing in equipment for the new autumn season we have just received our Oneill and Alder new season wetsuits and accessories to keep you nice and warm this winter

Dunluce is one of the most picturesque and romantic of Irish Castles. With evidence of settlement from the first millennium, the present castle ruins date mainly from the 16th and 17th centuries. It was inhabited by both the feuding McQuillan and MacDonnell clans…… Surfer Jordy Liackman from Western Australia September 2026

Apparently the Red Arrows were flying over Northern Ireland today … we had our own in Portrush courtesy of travelling O’neill Rider Jordy Liackman from Western Australia . It’s always special to see talented surfers in our line up a reminder of what can be done on our waves and a reflection of how sometimes our wee corner of the world can produce exciting surfing conditions…. Hope to see you all up in the Port tomorrow as conditions are looking the best we have seen in AGES!!!

So just a reminder that dogs are not allowed on various stretches of the beach at West Strand East Strand and Whiterocks until the 15th of September. I walk Doris 4 times a day and have done all summer. We have observed these rules by our local council but I promise you I haven’t seen one dog warden all summer. Today my friend was fined £80 for walking his dog between Babushka and Castle Erin. I think a warning would have sufficed. This is a warning to local dog owners as in my opinion the summer is over and there was no one at the beach at this time. Easy pickings for the wardens. I agree that during July and August there should be dog free areas but maybe a review is needed for September……
Morning start with an oat milk flat white from . Nice clean waves on West Strand. Surf getting bigger through the week looking good for East Strand Friday afternoon into Saturday morning. Congratulations to Amy who won our £350 Yeti Cooler. We have emailed everyone who subscribed a wee gift redeemable against Yeti products until Sunday. Have a great day…..
