Last week was our Captain’s Day “weekend” trip over to Scotland, and what a fantastic trip it was!

We had 16 golfers make the trip across, staying in Stranraer and playing both days at Wigtownshire County Golf Club. The course was fantastic, and the hospitality we received was second to none. We were made to feel very welcome and really well looked after throughout the weekend.

A special mention and huge thanks to Robert Allison, who organised all our transport to and from the boat, the golf club and everywhere else we needed to be. It made the whole trip run smoothly and took a lot of the hassle out of getting everyone around.

A brilliant weekend of golf, great company and plenty of laughs. Thanks to everyone who made it such a memorable Captain’s Day trip & Well Done to Richard Todd on the win!!!🏌🏼‍♂️⛳️🍻

With the wind and rain making conditions tricky, Jason started off well and finished the front 9 with 20 points. He went on to score a further 23 points back including a Birdie on the par4 12th to complete the round with an impressive 43 points playing off 15.

In Memory of Adrian Boyd 💙⛳

Many of you will remember our dear friend Adrian Boyd, who sadly passed away in December last year. Adrian was a much loved member of the Golf Society for over 20 years and he is greatly missed by everyone who knew him.
To honour Adrian's memory, his family have kindly donated the Adrian Boyd Memorial Cup, which will be played on Saturday 26th September at Portstewart Old Course, with all proceeds going to Macmillan Cancer Support.
We would love to see as many of Adrian's friends as possible come along to support this special day, celebrate his life, and help raise money for a wonderful cause.
