Korea & Japan have been absolutely sick 🔥

Plenty of good food, way too many miles walked, questionable amounts of money spent and ya boi has been EATING 😂

Been good to properly switch off for a bit too — even managed a full week off training, which hasn’t happened in a very long time.

Last few days left and as is always the way after some R&R I am to get back to business, back to training and back to some sort of routine this week.

Roll on getting back to training my clients… and back to NOT eating like a fu***ng buffalo 😂

New week LETSGO 🚀

“Healthy” doesn’t always = good. Especially when it comes to sports nutrition.

If you’re a morning trainer, prioritise easy digesting carb and protein sources save the higher fat meals for later in the day (where slower digestion / feeling fuller is ACTUALLY useful) 🫡

Similar applies if you train in the afternoon/evening.

Ideally train at least 3h after your last “big” meal, throwing in a light snack 30-60min before. Banana and whey (if you can tolerate it) is usually a good shout 👍🏼

Just cause it’s got “protein” on the label, doesn’t make it good.

High GI carbs post training are a great way to kickstart recovery. Bonus points if using both fructose, and starch based (bagel & honey or cereal / banana etc) 💪🏻

600kcal & a boatload of sugar for just a couple squares of chocolate (that you’ll still feel hungry after eating or 250kcal and a load of protein (that will actually satiate you)… which sounds better? 👀

You know what to do 🫡
