Welcome to the page of the Portsmouth City Water Polo (PCWP) club. We are a newly established club set up to encourage people to try out a new sport and to teach people how to play water polo. On Thursday both our Juniors and Ladies teams had home matches.
Our Ladies put in a strong effort against the Navy ladies team winning 12-8.
While our Juniors team fought hard but unfortunately lost to a strong Churchers team 18-10
Well done to everyone who played and a big congratulations to our junior girls who played in both their Junior match and the Ladies match!

This weekend two of Portsmouth City Waterpolo's juniors Players won Bronze at the British Waterpolo U14s Girls Inter Regional Championships at Walsall Gala Baths.
Lara Pitcher and Lilly May Jasper represented the South East of England, playing against the best U14 girls in the country.
The team came second in the group stage with wins against the North East and West Midlands and a loss against a strong North West team. Having lost their semi final 5-7 against London, they put in an excellent performance winning the bronze medal in a thrilling game against the South West , which they won 16-15 with a goal in the last 2 seconds.
A third Portsmouth player, Elena Yuksel was selected as a non-travelling reserve for the team, and all three girls have benefited from the experience of training and playing at such a high level .
Thanks to coaches Lauren and Bruce and Team Manager Jen for leading the team.
