I was honoured to be nominated for the Black Excellence Award – Inspirational Person of Colour last year, and today I had the privilege of nominating someone I truly believe deserves that recognition.

There are so many incredible people across this great city of Portsmouth doing amazing work within our communities. Sometimes you may not see the appreciation, hear the praise, or realise just how much your efforts are noticed — but believe me, the city is watching, and your work matters.

To everyone quietly making a difference, supporting others, creating opportunities and helping our communities grow: keep going, keep shining, and keep inspiring. 🙌🏾

, thank you for continuing to shine a light on our community’s unsung heroes and giving people the recognition they deserve.

Have a fantastic week, everyone. ❤️

⚽ If you hate running and you want to play football, you’re in the wrong sport!

www.fitnessforlifecoach.pro

Football requires running — but it’s not just about running more. It’s about learning how to run better.

Every young player can run, but can they accelerate faster, move stronger, change direction efficiently, and maintain their speed when it matters?

At academy level, they ll teach young athletes that every run has a purpose. Sometimes you’re running to defend, press, recover or create space. Other times, you’re accelerating away from a defender to get into a scoring position.

The difference is quality, efficiency and understanding.

We’re not just teaching young players to run. We’re developing athletes who understand when to run, how to run and why they run.

Build the athletic foundation early. ⚽💪🏃‍♂️

This one is for all my boys and parents.
Please pay close attention to this message.
One football journey is different to the other.
There is no script for this journey.
Work on yourself and stay in your lane.

A fantastic evening with Folland Sports FC as they continue their preparations for the Velocity Wessex League Division One season.
The lads put in a tremendous shift from start to finish, showing great attitude, commitment, and a real willingness to work. Tonight's session was a proper strength and conditioning workout, focusing on bodyweight strength, plyometrics, sprint mechanics, and explosive power—building the physical foundations needed to compete consistently throughout a long season.
Pre-season isn't just about getting fit; it's about building resilience, discipline, confidence, and creating habits that will make the difference when the season begins. The hard work being put in now will pay dividends when the league campaign gets underway.
A pleasure working with such a committed group. Keep trusting the process, keep raising the standards, and success will follow. 💪⚽

From a 7-year-old with a dream to one of the youngest members of Newcastle United's U18 squad... what a journey this has been!!!!
Currently training with U21. ❤️

People only see the headlines, but they don't see the early mornings, the extra sessions, the sacrifices, the setbacks, or the years of relentless hard work behind the scenes. I've had the privilege of working with this young man since he was just 7 years old, and watching him develop into the player he is today fills me with immense pride.

In just a few months he'll turn 16, and now he's officially been announced as one of the eight scholars for Newcastle United for the 2026/27 season. A huge achievement, but more importantly, a reminder that talent will open the door—character, consistency, and work ethic will keep you there.

Keep chasing greatness, stay humble, and never stop believing. This isn't the destination... it's only the beginning. The best is yet to come. 🖤🤍⚽

Wishing him every success in this exciting new chapter.❤️⚽

Reunited with my boys. 💙⚽

Some of the best grassroots footballers in Hampshire, all in one place with one goal—to improve every single day.
These lads don't just talk about wanting it; they put the work in. They choose to train with us because they understand that success isn't given—it's earned through consistency, discipline, and doing the extra work when nobody is watching.

The future belongs to those who are willing to outwork the rest. 👊

You don't become someone in one day.

No footballer wakes up one morning as the finished product. Every top player started as a beginner—working in silence, making mistakes, staying after training, and showing up when no one was watching.

The goals, the contracts, the trophies, and the recognition are all earned through thousands of small, consistent actions. Every sprint, every gym session, every recovery day, every setback, and every comeback shapes the player you become.

Trust the process. Stay disciplined. Keep learning. Your breakthrough won't happen overnight, but if you refuse to quit, one day people will call you an overnight success.
