Pockets of calm
Even in the midst of busyness, there is still tranquility waiting to be found 😚
Finding your sanctuary is something that I talk about in my classes. It can be a real or imagined place that brings you peace.
Think about how this place would look, smell, sound and feel.
The more you build on a picture of this place in your minds eye, the stronger it will become.
Then, when you need to, you can close your eyes and take yourself to your calm sanctuary.
What does your sanctuary look like?

I have been in a lavender haze!
This year has been the most productive for my lavender.
Despite the heat, the flowers have been abundant, and it's been so good to see so many bees enjoying them.
The basket full was just from 2 of my 3 plants, and there are new flowers emerging still.
I dried and stripped the flowers to make my eye pillows (please get in touch to place an order)
I can onfirm that lavender does indeed make you feel soporific! After a couple of hours, me and Rumi were very dozy, and the Cocoon smelt amazing.
I also tried making incense for the first time using lavender, cinnamon, gum arabic, lavender oil, and the lavender stalks.
I have really enjoyed decorating the Cocoon with the flowers they go so well with the colour scheme 💜
Watch this space for my next batch of eye pillows 😊

Our garden has been so beautiful this year.
The sunshine has been great for some plants, especially the flowers. The lavender has been particularly abundant (more on that soon).
The vegetables not quite so, the beans didn't do well at all but the tomatoes keep coming and we have a pepper and a chilli growing.
The solar lights are charging well, and it's so magical to sit out in the evening and enjoy the slightly cooler air.
Morning stroll on Saturday before it got too hot.
Lots of blackberries and elderberries, the sparrows and starlings were having a feast.
The ground was really dry, the swifts zooming along, low to the ground making their beautiful sounds.
It's amazing how much you notice when you lift your head and allow all of your senses to be wide open.

Such a great year for my lavender, the bees have really enjoyed it.
I cut back most of it, and it filled the basket! Still more to trim, and there is a second lot of flowers beginning to open up already.
I have some mint growing near the lavender, and when I cut it back, it is the most beautiful, intoxicating scent 💜
The basket is in the Cocoon now, and it smells amazing!
I will be dusting off my sewing machine soon to make this year's batch of lavender eye pillows.
Please get in touch if you'd like to place an order.

I love these beautiful baby footprints from my Postnatal 'Baby and Me' Yoga Class this morning.
They remind me of tie dye.
The babies were full of beans this morning, There was lots of baby chatter and some very wriggly babies too.
In this class, we embrace it all.
So if you have wanted to try a class with your baby but you are nervous, please don't worry.
The classes are fluid, and there is no set structure. Each class begins with a check-in to see how you are and how baby is, and we go from there.
You can join in when you can and feed and change babies as and when you need to.
The classes are suitable from 6 weeks post vaginal birth and 12 weeks post caesarean birth right up until babies are actively crawling.
Please feel free to get in touch if you have any questions. You can also find class details on my website (link in bio)
