UPSAC Take On The Maldives 🇲🇻 We did a total of 18 dives over the last week in the warm waters surrounding Rasdhoo island in the Maldives. Lots of sharks, rays, turtles, octopuses and tons of cool fish as well as an awesome night wreck dive! Keep an eye out for the next trip abroad!

Two weekends ago, a handful of our ocean divers braved the 7.5° sea waters of Vobster Quay… again. This time, a huge step forward to completing their next qualification of sports diver! So close to the next level, our divers only have a few more lessons until they are fully qualified and off the leash!

A massive congratulations to Jay for completing his long awaited dive leader and to Šárka for smashing her sports diver!

Thank you to everyone who helped out and organise the trip, we’re nothing without our instructor and training team! 🤿🫧

We’ll see you at the next dive!

Another week, another Purple Wednesday! Decades and Dynasties brought a bit of everything from across the timeline to varsity this week. From a cavewoman to a black-and-white suited gentleman, a full 60s sw***er, and even a Roman centurion, the historical range was impressive to say the least.

Next Weeks themes is… London Train/Tube Stations!
Be creative Baker Street 🧑‍🍳, angel 😇, Paddington 🐻 - there’s a whole range of (easy to hard) costumes to choose from for this Wednesday so I expect full commitment from everyone attending!

Spy night hit varsity and UPSAC understood the mission. From slick suits to full secret-agent energy, the effort was top tier and the club scrubbed up suspiciously well. If there were any double agents in the room, they blended in perfectly. 🕵🏻

A classic midweek social packed with great outfits, good company, and the usual level of UPSAC chaos. Thanks to everyone who suited up and made it another night to remember.

Next theme is: VIDEO GAME CHARACTERS! 👾👾

What does the ‘A’ in UPSAC stand for? Alien! 👽

Fully committed as always, we strutted around town like it was nobody’s business, painting themselves as every colour, exhausting the entirety of Portsmouth’s face paint reserve.

Congratulations to Fab on winning best dressed 🫡

This weeks theme is: SPY 🕵🏻
Your assignment, if you choose to accept it is to get suspicious and get suited. See you there. This message will self destruct in 10 seconds.

We’re aware that it’s 2/3 of the way through January but what is UPSAC if not fashionably late… our bad lol.

The last varsity before Christmas was Christmas Jumper Night with ice skating at the guildhall! The perfect way to end the term before everyone went back home! Such a festive clubbing experience at sugar shack as well and, of course, best dressed goes to Santa English!

Next Week’s theme is… SPACE AND ALIENS! 🪐👽⭐️
So, anything space related is your concept so run wild! Want to be a planet? Go for it! Want to be an alien? We expect face paint galore please, all colours of the rainbow.

What better way to ring in the new term with some drunken antics with good ol’ upsac!

Can’t wait to see you all there!!

Although it was absolutely freezing, our hardy divers went out on a January dive and were rewarded with some impeccable visibility at Wraysbury last weekend!

Barely anyone was there to stir up the silty deep so there was so much to see, from pikes to crayfish! We had such a great view of every wreck visited as well!

Such a great day and we’re so excited for all the diving to come in 2026! 🫧🤿
