A little Stillness Yoga update…

I’m very happy to share that I’ve found another lovely space for Stillness Yoga :)
Our Thursday evening classes at Highbury are staying exactly where they are, but this new space gives us the opportunity to add more classes, including a morning class ☺️
I visited today and already can imagine us practising here together!

So much hidden in this poem… Not all situations in life are as simple as just giving up or letting go, but there are so many things we sometimes keep holding on to without even understanding the reason why…

Tomorrow we officially enter astronomical autumn.

Time to slowly turn inwards… to let go, enjoy the harvest, and move into a quieter season.

Time to rest, recharge and recover…

Stillness Yoga is still growing, and so am I as a teacher :)
I’ve always wanted my classes to be a little more than just stretching - a place to move, breathe, relax, have our little chats and sometimes explore yoga a little deeper. To understand why we are doing certain things and how they can benefit us :)
I also want to create a safe, friendly space where we can just be, talk, meet new people and hopefully find some new friends too 🫶

If you’ve been to one of my classes, I’d really love your honest thoughts. What do you enjoy? What would you like more or less of? And most importantly - what would make you want to come back?

Even a few words would really help me 🫶

Through movement, we find stillness 🫶

Yoga practice is not only about asanas. However, most of us first come to yoga because of them.

Through asanas, we begin to find stillness. As we slowly move from one posture to another, we bring awareness not only to how our physical body feels, but also to our breath, our thoughts, and the sensations within us.
We notice. We feel. We breathe.
And little by little, the practice becomes about so much more than just the posture.

Through movement, we find stillness 🫶
