🖤💛 INTER-LEAGUE MATCHDAY! 🩷💙

Today the St Helens lads go to war with the only opposition capable of matching them pound-for-pound… each other. 😂

Our inter-league friendly returns as John’s LA Tacos FC take on Hayden’s XI in the Pink FC. Tacos vs Donuts. Black & Gold vs Pink & Navy. Friendships temporarily suspended for 90 minutes. 🌮🍩

Both managers have their squads locked in, with a cracking turnout of lads ready for an afternoon of proper 11-a-side football — and with a few trialists thrown into the mix, there might even be some completely imaginary contracts on the line.

And the day doesn’t finish at full-time. We’re heading over to The Stage Door, Prescot afterwards for food, reasonably priced soft and heavy refreshments 🍺 and the Manchester Derby on the big screen.

Two teams for the afternoon. One St Helens. Plenty of bragging rights until we inevitably decide to do it all again.

He’s at it again! A huge congratulations to Dylan Hyde of Gluton Town, who has smashed his 10% milestone — his second milestone of Season 16! 👏🔥

Dylan’s hard work off the pitch is paying dividends for the Glutes, with those extra goals helping them secure an important victory and stay within striking distance of season favourites Inter Pieami at the business end of the season.

He’s only gone and done it again! Gav Jones of Inter Pieami takes the gloves after another impressive display, this time against the reigning Pitch League champions AC MealPlan. 🖤👏

The Reds found themselves on the front foot for much of the game, but Gav stood strong to help Pieami hold out for a hard-earned draw — and by all accounts, it was a cracking watch from the sidelines!

Another big performance from the Pieami stopper, another point on the board, and a result that leaves Fatalanta within touching distance of the champions as the Pitch League battle heats up. 👀🔥

We head to AFC Knowsley to take part in the Peter Waldron Memorial Game, coming together to remember Peter 🩷.

This week's gloves go to Kev Crabb of Austria Viennetta! 💜👏

Kev put in a huge shift between the sticks, keeping a depleted Republic of Pieland side at bay despite the Greens still managing to create plenty of chances and test him throughout the game.

A strong performance when called upon, making sure the Purples came away with the result (kind of...).

A massive personal win for Feme, but he's also been putting the points on the board for the Pieami Massive, scoring some vital extra goals as Pieami enter their final season together with silverware firmly in their sights.
