My name is Helen Frudd. I am a Nordic walking instructor based in Preston, Lancashire.
I learned to Nordic walk in 2017 and it is the best decision I ever made. Since then I have Nordic walked regularly and I have even taken part in various races and challenges. I have got much fitter as Nordic walking is a full body workout and not just a walk. A walk in nature is the best medicine. It improves your overall health and well being. It improves your posture as your upper body muscles engage. It is suitable for all ages and fitness levels. Nordic walking will improve your physical fitness as well as your mental well being.
I was a Secondary School Maths teacher for 32 years. In 2021 I retired from teaching. Since then I have trained with British Nordic Walking to become a Nordic walking instructor. I was taught the INWA 10 step method. I would love to share the Nordic walking technique with you.
I now have regular weekly walks for those of you who already know how to Nordic walk.
