✨ TEAM BRIDALES — RIHS 2026 ROUND UP ✨

What a week it has been for Team Bridales at the Royal International Horse Show! 🏆

A week full of highs, lows, nerves, excitement, laughs, and some incredibly proud moments. Every single horse, pony, rider and owner has done themselves proud, and we couldn’t be happier with our team. ❤️

TUESDAY

⭐ Ben & Kimco Her Majesty, owned by Grace Murray & Cath Bell, kicked things off in style, standing 3rd in the Large Native Cob Traditional Pony Class. A fantastic result and a brilliant start to the week!

⭐ Joe & Riversway Tatty Bogle, owned and bred by Dawn & Imogen Duffy, followed with a very creditable 5th place in the Large Native Cob Traditional Pony Class.

⭐ Nicola Smith & AGS Degilience may not have taken a final placing, but he behaved like an absolute professional for his first ever visit to the RI. We couldn’t have asked for more from him. ❤️

WEDNESDAY

⭐ Harriet Storey & Westwick Baron, owned by Jodie Smith, contested the UKPH Intermediates. No final placing this time, but Ronnie went beautifully and gave a fantastic account of himself. Such an exciting young pony with a very bright future ahead. ❤️

THURSDAY

⭐ Jodie Smith & Westwick Baron returned to the ring and secured a brilliant 3rd place in the FDH! 🥉

He really is such a special boy and is maturing into a proper Dales pony before our eyes. We’re so excited to see what the future holds for this pair. 🖤

⭐ Joe & Hedgethorpe Expect The Unexpected sadly didn’t make the final placings in the FDH, but Harry being Harry, he couldn’t have cared less! 😂

He absolutely LOVED his week away at Hickstead and somehow managed to come home even wilder than he was when we set off! 🤣 This boy certainly loves a party! 🎉

⭐ Jaycee Jones & Haverford Nimbus contested the M&M First Ridden. There was no final placing, but honestly, the result was secondary.

To think Nimbus was a stallion running with mares until October last year, we are incredibly proud of Jaycee and the commitment she has put into making Nimbus the pony he is today. What a journey these two are on. ❤️

SUNDAY

⭐ Strathallens Tiger Tyme, owned and bred by Jodie Smith, gave an extremely credible account of himself in the BSHA Amateur Riding Horses.

No final placing this year, but there is something incredibly special about seeing a homebred compete at an occasion as big as the Royal International. A moment to be incredibly proud of. ❤️

🏆 AND THEN… OUR SPECIAL BOY… 🏆

Griseburn Major & Leyla Scott-Christian.

Neither Major nor Leyla had ever competed at the RIHS before. We arrived with absolutely no expectations — our only aim was for them to have a fantastic time, enjoy the experience and come home with some wonderful memories.

Little did any of us know what was about to happen… 🤯

UKPH JUNIOR LARGE BREED CHAMPIONS 🏆🥇

And then…

SUPREME ANTONY EVANS & UKPH CHAMPION! 🏆🏆🏆

ON THEIR FIRST EVER APPEARANCE AT THE RIHS.

Wow. Just WOW. 🤯❤️

We are completely blown away by this pony and this little partnership. Major has made so many dreams come true over the years, and somehow he continues to surprise us and create moments that we could only ever dream of.

And the funniest part?

He has absolutely NO idea what he has done! 😂🖤

From every single member of Team Bridales — a huge congratulations to all of our riders, owners, breeders and supporters. Whether you came home with a placing, a championship, or simply a pony who gave you everything in the ring, you have all made us incredibly proud.

The Royal International is a very special show, and to have so many of our Team Bridales ponies and horses competing on that stage is something we will never take for granted.

What a day. What a week. What a team. What memories. ❤️

Two boys on board today and two first timers at the White Rose Ring!

Hedgethorpe Expect The Unexpected owned by Deborah Chadwick and ridden by Joe stood 3rd in the HOYS Fells out of 37 entires, sadly just missing out on his HOYS ticket as 2nd took the ticket!

Westwick Baron owned by Jodie Smith ridden by Jodie also 3rd in the HOYS Dales class.

Both boys loved the big ring. The sun shone and we’ve had a lovely day!

Jaycee’s first RIHS Ticket and Nimbus’s 2nd RI Qualifier. We are all so extremely proud of you Jaycee. Your determination, dedication and love of this pony has paid off and we are so exited to watch you in July!

💫 Trevallion Dempsey owned by Laura Sampson 3rd RIHS C&D just missing out on his ticket! His halo stayed in place today and he redeemed himself after yesterday 🙊

💫 Big shout out to Jodie Smith homebred, Strathallens Tiger Warrier who was broken here over the winter standing 2nd in the amateur hacks and 2nd in the Intermediate Show Hack Type 🫶🏻

💫 Haverford Nimbus, owned by Jones Family and bred by Judith Reed. 2nd Novice & Open First Ridden. Super proud of this combination, thrown in at the deep end at his first ever show.

Saturday - North Of England

💫 Hedgethorpe Expect the Unexpected, owned and bred by Deborah Chadwick, 2nd RIHS Fell Dales Highlands.

Sunday - North Of England

💫 Riversway Tatty Boggle, owned and bred by Dawn Duffy and Imogen Duffy, winner RIHS NCTP and standing reserve champion.

Monday - NCPA Eastern Spectacular

💫 Hedgethorpe Expect The Unexpected. Winner RIHS Fell Dales and Highlands and standing Champion

💫 Trevallion Dempsey, owned by Laura Sampson contested in his first RIHS. After an initial pull of 2nd he ended up finishing 5th after a baby moment in his show. He was impeccably behaved and excited to see what comes of this boy!
