I hate how my swing looks… however, I’m committed to putting in the work required

If being honest it’s a difficult watch for me from transition to impact. Downing is so poor, big performance leaks. Don’t hold flex at hip for long enough which has knock on effect and not a good one.

Need to improve P4-P6 by holding the flex at hips, fixing this will have a positive knock on effect.

The boss will set me straight and set my winter homework. Can’t wait to get stuck in!

Little intro.

Hi I’m Josh, 38yo former PGA pro.

Played golf most of my life, started when I was 10. That’s late by today’s standards.

Played every sport going but golf was always number 1 for me. My dad played so I wanted to play. Still got my first club.

Improved quick, handicap tumbled. Got down to 3 (in the old system). Now I know that doesn’t sound that impressive or that good, but here’s the thing, I was just starting to hit my stride. Ball striking, breaking par, I was gathering momentum!

Then it stopped. I made the decision to turn pro and work in the industry, use this as my root into professional golf. In hindsight, I should have delayed, stayed amateur and ridden the momentum to how good I could have been.

Fast forward a few years, I left the industry in 2014. Started to resent the game so left so I didn’t loose the love completely. It’s too important to me, it has given me everything, quite literally.

So here we are. I’m back playing amateur golf again. Got my first official handicap of 0.7.

First goal, compete at amateur level and get to plus handicap.

Long term goal is at 50.

Let’s see how it plays out. Would be some story…

Would you actually play these, or are they too good to lose….

Unboxing Limited edition TP5 Pix ‘flingo’ 🦩 (as my daughter calls them) golf balls

She ABSOLUTELY loves them ♥️🦩

I’m looking to try different balls. I’ve used Pro V1 or V1x for as long as I can remember, just because. Never been fitted or tested anything else. So I’m trying the TP5 Pix.

Reason, hopefully create a little more spin on full shots and around the greens. Mainly it’s for the Pix on the balls. The way it’s designed will help me massively with my putting, giving me a single focus points at address. The balls have small Pix and larger Pix. I’ll be positioning the larger Pix as my focus point when putting. This will stop me from focusing on the putter head which causes me to get pulled into technical thoughts about my stroke.

I’ll report back once I’ve played a few rounds with them. Looking forward to seeing if it works.
