Ladies season has officially ended but what a season it has been 🏏🙌🏏 After a couple of challenging years, we came into 2026 refreshed, recharged and ready to go. We've welcomed 7 new players into the squad, including 4 junior girls, plus the return of established players and its been exciting to see people settle in and enjoy their cricket. Well done to all the ladies who have been involved this year and for your continued good grace, positivity and support - you're a bunch of stars 🌟

Highlights of the year include:

Securing two more amazing sponsors - Edmondson Electricals and Hampsons Garage - who funded our fresh new kit 🥰

Finishing joint winners in our group for Softball after winning 9 out of 10 matches and being narrowly beaten to a place in the finals by Tarleton on run rate
3 ladies in the Batting Top 10 - Sarah Parker (2), Phoebe Maynard (5) and Debbie Whiteside (8), with Sarah also placed at no 9 for bowling 🎖🏏👏

Placing 3rd in our Hardball group with 5 wins and 5 losses
4 ladies in the Batting Top 10 - Emily Hadfield (1), Kirsty Sumner (3), Holly Lloyd-Bennett (8) and Sarah (10)
2 ladies in the Bowling Top 10 - Emily (3) and Nat Bowen-Martin (5) 🤩🏏🙌

Reaching the semi-finals of our first ever 100 Knockout Cup. 3 ladies placing in the Top 10 for Batting - Phoebe (2), Nat (9) and Sarah (10) - and 3 in the Top 10 for Fielding - Phoebe (1), Sarah (2) and Kirsty (10) 💥🥰🏏

Establishing our wonderful U11 Junior girls squad, the Roses, and guiding them through their first season 🌹🌹🌹

Enjoying our popular fundraisers, Ladies Day and the Fizz Festival, which were both big successes and raised vital funds for Derian House and the club 🍾🥳

Big THANK YOUs to Sarah and Deb Cleary for their hard work, commitment and leadership as match captains; to Andy for his coaching, umpiring and advocacy; to Gareth, Graham, Matt and Greg for additional umpiring duties; to my gang of junior scorers, Will H, Freddie W, Emily and Rory; to James for keeping me legal with the league and to everyone who has helped, encouraged and been part of our season 👏🤩
