What a weekend at the arena.
We’ve been non stop on a different side of the track. The Legend and Hero Tractor Pulling Team ran the Corporate Hospitality Area on Saturday & Sunday.

We’ve had a great weekend with the North West Tractor pulling club sponsors and corporate guests in the sunshine.

Big shout out to Pepperpot Catering Company, Richard Holden and Thirst Events👏🏼

Roll on next year, hopefully we will be back on the start line🚜💨

North West Tractor pulling club Legend & Hero Tractor Pulling Team

Sad to see this event go! Attended over a number of different years with some nice memories made. 🙁

Het traditionele indoor tractorpulling evenement European Superpull zal definitief geen doorgang meer vinden. Hoewel er een zeer trouwe groep fans elk jaar op het evenement afkwam, liep de belangstelling afgelopen jaren geleidelijk aan terug. De organisatie heeft de toekomstige mogelijkheden voor European Superpull onderzocht, maar er is onvoldoende basis om het evenement nieuw leven in te blazen.

De organisatie van European Superpull betreurt het besluit, gezien de lange historie van het evenement. Sinds 1978 is het evenement verbonden geweest aan Ahoy, wat neerkomt op maar liefst 41 edities. De oprichters Gerrit Alting, Jan Post en Maurits Immink waren hun tijd vooruit door een indoor evenement naar Amerikaans voorbeeld in het Sportpaleis van Ahoy te organiseren. In de loop der jaren groeide het uit tot een vaste waarde op de kalender van pulling-teams en kwamen er meer indoor-evenementen, naast de bekende pulling wedstrijden in het zomerseizoen.

Jolanda Jansen, Algemeen Directeur Rotterdam Ahoy: “Het is een lastig besluit. De toekomstige mogelijkheden zijn het afgelopen jaar onderzocht en we hebben helaas moeten constateren dat er op dit moment onvoldoende basis is om het concept levensvatbaar te houden. We kijken echter met enorme trots terug op de 41e mooie edities die hebben plaatsgevonden in Ahoy.”

Het team van European Superpull, Jan Buitenhuis en alle betrokkenen van Ahoy, NTTO en vrijwilligers, danken alle fans voor het jarenlange enthousiasme en support.

That’s abit more like it!

With the highs comes the lows.

After having 2 new tyres kindly supplied & fitted by Ruttle Plant Ltd. Then having the Tacho rewired and calibrated along with some late nights with Josh Singleton , all the efforts still wasn’t enough to pass today 😭. With most of the engineers from the workshop helping , the brakes on the front axle couldn’t apply enough pressure to pass. Otherwise it would have been a nice surprise at the closed event at Great Eccleston this weekend.

But her mere presences still turns heads on the road. Now to prep for a retest and lend a hand at the weekend.
