Prestwick Town Twinning Association organised a fabulous visit to the PRESTWICK MIDTON BOWLING CLUB for the visitors from Lichtenfels Germany and Vandalia Ohio who were here to celebrate the 50th and the 30th Anniversary of Town Twinning. This was one of the many local attractions that Prestwick Town Twinning Association have taken our Town Twinning Guests to on their visit to Bonnie Scotland 😀 Our Guests enjoyed their afternoon playing bowls and the entertainment at night arranged by Prestwick Town Twinning Association at Prestwick Midton Bowling Club.

The popular art of Cone Etiquette is alive and well with visitors from Lichtenfels and Ohio, as PTTA members train their guests how to behave badly … in a good way. They loved it.

Prestwick Town Twinning Association had a interesting visit to the HERITAGE CENTRE CUMNOCK today. We showed our Guests from Lichtenfels Germany and Vandalia Ohio the fabulous HERITAGE CENTRE MUSEUM which is hidden away in Cumnock and it is definitely well worth visiting. Our Visitors were delighted to see such a selection of tractors, fire engines , steam engines, buses, lorry's, and lots of fabulous memorabilia. There are products from the past which were made by local factories which have been long gone, so lots of local history on display. My favourite is the old Police Station which was rebuilt inside the museum and the Old fashion plug in telephone exchange again a blast from the past. Thank you to Jim Smith and his Staff for a great day and the huge Welcome you gave to our Visitors much Appreciated

Been heavily involved this week with a town twinning visit to Prestwick of 27 German friends an 6 American friends. We have had and absolute ball in their company, with a wide range of activities over the course of the 5 days they were here.

The trip included a visit to the Alloway Tunnel, where they were treated to a fantastic performance of the Robert Burns poem Tam O'Shanter. This was perfectly delivered to the delight of the assembled crowd by our friend and local performer Ken O'Hara.

After this, we walked to the Auld Kirk in Alloway (where I took this photo) and then onto the Brig o' Doon.

I ask every single one of you to share this short video to your Face Book 'Friends', not for me, but for Nicholas Redford. Let's get this video going world wide and viral.

I'm sure we can all appreciate the input of Nicholas Redford this week as he demonstrated his great talent on the bag pipes and looked a million dollars in his kilt.

In a throw away, on the spot idea in an early discussion, I asked if he could play the theme tune from 'Friends' and boy how he delivered.
