Another rough one today against a solid Galacticos side😔

Unfortunately with only 13 available we suffered 2 injuries in the first 15 minutes of the game, this led to an ugly scoreline as Galacticos punished us. However we can still take positives from the game as the last 11 still standing dug in massively and saw out the game as best we could, with several people playing through injuries to avoid us going a man down🤕

Fair play to Galacticos as they were a sharp side who played a nice brand of football, they’ll definetely do well in our league this season🤝

Just one of those days unfortunately which made for a grim result in our first game of the season😣

Wasted chances early on cost us and it ended up feeling like one of those games where we could’ve played for another 90 minutes and still not been able to find the net🫠

Overall definitely one to forget and move on to next week, where we’ll look for a better result against FC Galacticos⚽️

The one we’ve been waiting for🎉

This Sunday we take on Chaddlewood Miners Old Boys in our opening league fixture for the 26/27 season🙌

We’ve had a really strong pre-season and are more than prepared for the challenge ahead, now it’s time to put it all together and get 3 points on the board📈

Our finalised squad ahead of our 26/27 P&D Division Two campaign💪

We would like to wish our Captain Josh Barron all the best as he takes some time away from football for a retirement of sorts. He is of course still signed on for the club and is always a welcome face at Legends Park, but the birth of his first son and newly started family are understandably most important to him❤️

As a club we are really proud to say we have maintained all of our players from last season, we pride ourselves on creating a powerful togetherness within the squad and an environment where people want to stay and to see we have achieved that means a lot to us🩶

It also brings us immense joy to announce several new signings who have joined our ranks, these new lads have integrated well with the players we already have during pre-season and offer great personality off the pitch and absolute quality on it👊

Here are our first 5 competitive fixtures for the 26/27 P&D season🙌

We open the campaign with 3 home league fixtures🏠

After the opening 3 we will then take on 2 first round cup ties, home to Elm United in the Challenge Cup, and away to Ocean City in the Ken Rickard Cup🏆

Everyone at Princetown Football Club would like to say how saddened we are to hear of the passing of local footballing legend Ashley White.

Although our paths never crossed as a club we have a huge number of individuals amongst our ranks who can speak to the amazing character Ash was both on and off the pitch, this truly shows how much he will be missed by a huge number of people in the local community.

Our best wishes go to his family and all of those close to him in this tough time, may he rest in peace❤️

Despite the one sided scoreline a really solid finale to our pre-season preparations🩶

With the score being 1-0 at Half Time we felt our performance deserved more and we absolutely matched Tavistock for much of the game and had an answer for their attacks. In the end fitness got the better of us despite a large squad being available and we let some soft goals slip into the net. As always, we wish Tavi reserves the best of luck for their season in the South Devon League🤝

Most importantly we must acknowledge for ourselves that we’ve had such a strong pre-season ahead of our 26/27 campaign. We’ve played a variety of well drilled Saturday teams, high quality vets teams, Sunday teams in higher divisions than ourselves, all of this will accumulate into a super strong season for us as a club, we truly cannot wait to get started this Sunday against Chaddlewood Old Boys⚽️

Just one days rest for us before we match up against Tavistock AFC’s Reserve side💪

Another well organised Saturday side for us to take on in what will be our final pre-season friendly, really important that we refine the finer details in this one so we are fully prepared for league action this Sunday🩶

An unfortunate result today against a very well organised Gunnislake vets side. All credit to them as they capitalised on our mistakes and won the game rightfully so, we wish them the best of luck for their season🩶

With this being our penultimate pre-season friendly the most important thing as always is yet more valuable minutes in our legs. We would also like to have a special mention for The Honicombe Arms as they put on potentially the best post game food we have ever had, we really appreciate the kind gesture🍗

Our final friendly will take place this Tuesday against Tavistock AFC Reserves on Tavistock’s 3G pitch, before we take on Chaddlewood Old Boys in our league opener at home next Sunday⚽️
