We had our first Grand Prix of the season at Rutland, which was good to see how our trainging over the winter had gone. Saturday was fairly light averaging at 13knots with some bigger gusts. We had four consistant results getting 12,9,9,14 putting us in the gold fleet for the next day :) However, on Sunday there was very little wind which meant a lot of waiting around both onshore and on the water. They managed to start a race but unfortunatly the wind dropped off too much and was abondoned. This meant we finished the weekend in 21st and 2nd junior boat :)
Looking forward to the Youths in a few weeks time.

Tired after an eventful weekend of ripped up sails, a close call with the water tower and boat damage, Saturday we did more swimming rather than sailing with 25 knots constant with bigger gusts, Sunday however went a lot better in the pursuit race, with wind of about 20 knots. We started well and gradually gained places throughout the race. We finished 23rd in the pursuit and 56th over the whole event. Overall it was an exciting weekend and we are look forward to next weeks raining at Hailing Island.
On our way down to Weymouth for our second Transitional Squad weekend! Forecast looks wet and windy so should be fun ⛵️
Good training weekend in Pwllheli with great conditions on Saturday, unfortunately not doing a complete day due to Hatty hitting her head on the shroud! :) Although there were lighter winds today we still learnt loads with some new techniques.
We also had a great event at Lake Garda, having some up and down days overall coming 30th out of 61 competing boats in our first international event! Still recovering from the Italian cuisine (ice cream and pizza!)

We had the last of the Grand Prix series at Datchet this weekend, putting in 2 good results and 2 slightly disappointing results in challenging conditions.
Racing was cancelled on Sunday, meaning we finished the weekend in 21st place and 3rd girls, and the overall series in 15th and 3rd juniors. Now looking forward to going to Lake Garda this week to compete in our first Eurocup together.

Good weekend in Torquay, although the overall result wasn't great it was a great learning curve for us in the lighter winds, looking forward to the next weekends training in Rutland
