The Abersoch Regatta Committee is pleased to announce that annual Youth Grants are available for young people under the age of 18 living in the council areas of:
• Abersoch & Llanengan
• Llanbedrog & Mynytho

These grants are designed to support young people who have shown real potential or excellence in a sporting or cultural activity, and who now need specialist coaching or training to progress further.

What can the grant help with?
Grants may contribute towards:
• Coaching or training fees
• Kit and equipment
• Travel costs
• Accommodation related to training or competition

Grants are awarded annually and will cover up to 50% of the applicant’s costs for that year.
- The number and value of grants awarded will depend on available funds and the volume of applications received.

Bu’r grantiau yn cael eu gwobrwyo yn flynyddol, gan ddim heb fod yn fwy na 50% o gostau blynyddol yr ymgeisydd.
Caiff y grantiau ei dyfarnu o ddibynnu ar sefyllfa ariannol Regata Abersoch Regatta a’r nifer o ymgeiswyr.

⛵ Abersoch Regatta 2025 : Our Sailing Showpiece

It was a blustery one! 🌬 Huge well done to all the boats and crews who took to the water.
Amazing to see so many lining the beach and the club to watch the start.

A big thank you to Abersoch RNLI for joining us, and to everyone who filled the top deck for the prize giving 🏆

Grateful as ever to our brilliant committee, generous sponsors, loyal supporters – and of course to SCYC - South Caernarvonshire Yacht Club Abersoch for hosting.

🏖️ ABERSOCH REGATTA 2025 – BEST DRESSED BEACH HUT 🎉

A record number of entries this year, the beach was bursting with colour, bunting, and brilliant themes from beach bars to surf shacks. So much effort all round! 👏

🌺 The Turner Family – “Moana” (complete with their very own Maui!)

Huge thanks to our Beach Patrol judges, definitely the toughest job of the day! 💙

It’s the big one…..Abersoch Regatta Day at SCYC - South Caernarvonshire Yacht Club Abersoch and everyone’s invited!

🚤 View the Best Dressed Boats anchored off & being judged from 12:30pm

The club is open to non-members all day, so pop down for a drink, enjoy the stunning views or lunch from The Cove, and soak up the atmosphere of this brilliant Abersoch community tradition 💛

🏴‍☠️ A hearty well done to all ye best-dressed pirates this year! The shore was swarming with fine hats, fearsome beards, and plenty o’ pirate swagger.

Special salute to our tiniest crew member, Baby Finley, born 3 months early and now Abersoch Regatta’s very own Jack Sparrow. The smallest pirate to ever steal our hearts ❤️

🏰 Abersoch Regatta Sandcastle Competition 2025 🏖️

From Treasure Islands to the Llŷn Peninsula, classic castles to erupting volcanoes and mermaids, this year’s entries blew us away with creativity and effort!

👏 A huge well done to our Group Winners:
🏆 Team Bonkers with their speedy creation Turbo the Snail
🧜‍♀️ And the brilliant girls behind Olivia the Octopus, built completely solo with no adult help!

Thanks to everyone who took part and brought the beach to life, we’ll see you next year for more sandy building and sculpting!
