We’re delighted to be hosting a Healthy Hearts FC ECG Screening Evening at Sheppey United FC, supported by Kent FA and KIMS Hospitals.

The evening is open to anyone connected with Sheppey United FC or football in general — players aged 8+, parents, coaches, managers, volunteers, staff, spectators, supporters and club members. You don’t need to play football to get screened.

What is an ECG screening?

An ECG is a quick, painless test that can help detect hidden heart conditions, including in people who appear fit and healthy.

Cost:

• Ages 8–12 — £20 + transaction fee
• Ages 13–15 — £30 + transaction fee
• Ages 16+ — £40 + transaction fee

🔴⚪ An Evening with a Former Professional Footballer...

We’re pleased to welcome former professional footballer and England international Paul Stewart to The Sharrocks - The insurance people Stadium for an important evening discussing safeguarding in football.

Paul enjoyed a successful career playing for some of the biggest clubs in English football, including Man City, Tottenham and Liverpool. He represented England at senior level and was part of the Tottenham side that won the 1991 FA Cup, scoring in the final at Wembley.

Since speaking publicly in 2016 about the abuse he experienced as a young footballer, Paul has become a prominent safeguarding advocate. He now works across professional and grassroots football, using his own experiences to raise awareness and help create safer environments for young people in the game.

We’re pleased to announce the return of our Pan-Disability Football sessions, beginning on Friday 21st August.

Pan-disability football provides an inclusive environment for players with a range of disabilities and additional needs to enjoy football, build confidence, develop their skills and make new friends.

⏰ 5:00pm – 6:00pm
📍 The Sharrocks Stadium, Queenborough Road, ME12 3DD
👦👧 Ages 5–16 years
💷 £12 per month – first session FREE

👟 Players must wear appropriate footwear for our 4G pitch and shin pads must be worn for all sessions.

Away from football, Craig works locally in special education, supporting children and young people with special educational and additional needs, bringing valuable experience to his new role.

Craig will be helping us to develop our disability and inclusion provision across the club, starting with the return of our Pan-Disability Football sessions.

🚨 IMPORTANT REMINDER 🚨

As the start of a new season approaches, this is an important reminder for all!

If you see a referee wearing a yellow armband, it means they're under the age of 18 and are protected by child safeguarding legislation.

These young referees are developing their skills, building confidence and giving their time to support the game we all love. ⚽

Let's play our part by showing them the respect, encouragement and support they deserve, whether you're a player, coach, parent or spectator.

Together, we can create a positive environment where young referees feel safe, valued and motivated to continue their officiating journey.

A great morning of football on Sunday as our U8 Reds and U8 Blues faced each other in an in-house friendly!

A particularly special one for our U8 Blues, stepping up to play a year above 👏🏼
