AS Plant are looking for 2 new players to join our Sunday League team over the Summer in preparation for playing 11 aside next season. Ideally a defensive minded player and an attacking player.

If your kid is in current year 6 or 7 please send me a message.

The team itself is a mixed age team on a Sunday, we will be playing in the YEL, I expect in the Prem or Division 1. We have a squad of very talented kids who are keen to push themselves each week and committed to learning.

A trip to Eastwood this morning for the Plant boys! After a even 15mins the boys settled down and put a solid performance in first half and put us comfortably in front and playing some good football and scoring some typical great team goals.
Second half we started well but the team definitely took their foot of the pedal last 15mins as they weren’t winning 2nd balls and their workrate dropped off and Eastwood got a deserved goal for their efforts and credit to their team they always tried to play and they are a good team, they could have had 1/2 more if it wasn’t for Jake who is always there to make big saves!

Overall a good start to the weekend and another game in which they scored many good goals. A little bit more intensity will be needed going forward especially immediately when possession is lost which we need to improve on.

AS Plant United back at Brunts Academy this morning! The boys were all buzzing to be back and after a great night at our presentation last night for last season’s achievements 🏆🏆⚽️ we was hoping the players would come with an enthusiasm and hunger to perform today. The instruction from the start was more of the same as training on Tuesday with the workrate and intensity they shown throughout the session!

The boys started well against a very good and well drilled Mansfield Town, the bright start was rewarded when Plant took the lead before halftime ⚽️👏🏼
The half time team talk was to keep the intensity and to encourage bravery on the ball as more chances would happen.

Again the boys started the half brilliantly, working very hard for eachother and defending brilliantly as a team but now looking to pass the football better and we looked very good at times although Mansfield were very much still in the game,
Plant kept up the intensity and another goal soon followed to put us 2 goals in front and that was to be the final result in the end.
A great display of football by both teams and a pleasure to watch 2 fantastic teams at this age ⚽️⚽️⚽️

A brilliant start to the competitive season and the match was played in the right spirit against a top team who we always have fantastic games with.
