📢 **JOB VACANCY – OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR** 📢
**BLIDWORTH MINERS WELFARE**

⭐ **20-24 HOURS PER WEEK**
⭐ **£16.50 PER HOUR**
⭐ **PERMANENT PART-TIME POSITION**
⭐ **WEEKEND WORK ESSENTIAL**

We’re looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and commercially minded Operations Supervisor to play a key role in the future of Blidworth Miners Welfare.

This is much more than simply working behind the bar. We want someone who can take ownership, bring fresh ideas and help us drive the club forward.

🍻 **THE ROLE**

Working alongside the Trustees/Directors, you’ll take responsibility for the smooth day-to-day operation of the club, including:

• Supervising and supporting our bar team
• Opening and closing the premises
• Cashing up and maintaining appropriate controls
• Stock management and deliveries
• Maintaining excellent standards of customer service
• Helping create a welcoming, friendly atmosphere
• Supporting functions, parties and events
• Promoting the club and helping increase footfall
• Developing ideas to grow revenue and improve the business

🎤 **WE WANT SOMEONE WITH IDEAS!**

A major part of the role will be helping us build a **strong programme of entertainment and events**.

We want someone who understands what makes a successful social club and can help develop popular nights including **live entertainment, DJs, karaoke, themed nights, family events, quizzes, competitions and other new ideas**.

💡 **WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?**

Ideally, you’ll have experience within a **pub, club, bar, hospitality or entertainment environment**, together with the confidence to lead shifts and make things happen.

You’ll need to be:

✔ Reliable and trustworthy
✔ Friendly and customer focused
✔ Confident supervising staff
✔ Organised and able to work independently
✔ Commercially aware
✔ Full of ideas and prepared to put them into action
✔ Comfortable promoting events and engaging with customers
✔ Passionate about helping a community venue succeed

📅 **20-24 HOURS PER WEEK** Extra hours on occasion in line with business requirements.

Hours will be worked flexibly around the needs of the business and will include **Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday evenings and Sunday working**.

Some weekday hours will also be required for administration, stock management and deliveries.

Tuesday nights at the welfare are back in October 🙌🏻

September sees the start of our new entertainment schedule 😎

Friday 25th we have DJ Ovo with a family fun night - Music, karaoke, games, sticky 13, stand up bingo etc! Always a great night at the welfare and one for the whole family to join in with! 🕺

And then Saturday 26th the fantastic Oli returns to the club with his brand new show: Gary vs Olly. Starting at 9pm and guaranteed to be a brilliant night! 🎤

Hi

I have taken the difficult desicion to retire from the Welfare, this is purely down to my declining health.

I would like to thank you all for your support over the years its ment alot.

I shall continue doing the Bingo on a Wednesday night, but thats it.

I would also like it to go on record that I wish the Welfare every success for the future.

A little announcement from me 🥹

After a lot of thought, I’ve made the decision to resign from my role as Manager at the club.

It’s honestly been a huge chapter of our lives, and I want to say a massive thank you to every single one of our customers - old faces, new faces, regulars, visitors, and everyone in between. Your support, laughs, stories, celebrations (and occasional chaos, plus more late nights than I wish to remember 😂) have made the job what it is, and I’ll always be incredibly grateful for that.

We’ve met some brilliant people during our time here, made some very special memories and, despite the ups and downs, there’s a lot I’ll look back on with a smile. ❤️

My last bar shift will be Sunday 13th September, and I’d absolutely love to see as many of you as possible for leaving drinks on the Saturday 🍹

So, come and have a drink with us, say goodbye properly, and help us celebrate the end of one chapter and the start of whatever comes next!
