BMW iX1 getting a much needed refresh.

I must admit I’m not a fan of some, modern car aesthetics.

This like many BMW’s, open the door, the radio comes on??? Why???
Who thought this was a necessity??
As a valeter, touchscreens are just a complete nightmare.
Tesla lead the way, have a setting for complete screen shutdown until you actually want to reactivate it!
This iX1 loves locking all the doors, it actually locked the keys inside the car today! Luckily I have remote access via my phone so was able to open it back up.
I had the boot open, closed it, then realised I’d left my glass cleaner inside, went to re-open it and it was locked, I had to go to the drivers door and unlock all the doors. Frustrating.
But if you want to close the sun shade for the pano roof you have to power the whole car up?
At least you can have some cold air blowing on you when it’s 28°c outside without an engine running. 🤣🧼

Imagine the focus group for this project, let’s put a 710bhp Super charged 6.2L V8 out of a Dodge Hellcat into an SUV and make it in RHD, consequently you don’t see many of these on UK roads.
I applaud this kind of behaviour, bit like Toyota and the Yaris GR 🏁🏆🥇

We have valeted this monster before but it was a couple of years ago.
More planned for this very special vehicle, some paint correction and Coatings to be laid down.

As the superb A5 missed its regular slot at the last ‘car club’ meet, today was redemption time.
It got a thorough safe wash and check to see how the Ceramic Package we installed back in the spring is doing.
Shouldn’t of had any doubts, the Alien Magic Car Care Titan Pro Graphene Ceramic Coating is protecting the Mythos Black paintwork absolutely beautifully.
Truly stunning product and an excellent way to enhance your car’s appearance. Such great hydrophobic performance and deep lustre shine. 👽🧼💚🥇

Stanway car club needed a 2nd phase this month, so as we were passing today it seemed rude not to pop in.
First up a new vehicle for our portfolio, a replacement for the iX3, a lovely Škoda Enyaq VRS.
First one of these we’ve worked on and they are very nice indeed. Being part of the Volkswagen Audi Group, it’s Germanic build quality and versatility shine through.
Being booked in for a full TWS Ceramic package asap. 🧼🥇

If it’s ’Smiles per miles’ you’re after, then the funky Box on wheels in the shape of the Suzuki Jimny might just take the biscuit.
Still looking mint, thanks to its Ceramic coating, like the day it was done. 🧼🏆

If you want slightly less space with slightly less pace then the RS3 is not a bad bet.
This Daytona Pearlescent Grey 8Y Vorsprung is a proper B road bruiser, and still looks awesome even next to us Bavarian brother. 🏁🥇

If you love pace with space then this is the weapon of choice.
