Sit with stillness and let the earth hold you 🌅
This post is going to be a bit raw and honest…
Since being away in Hawaii, I realised I have put a restriction on my life at home. Not because of hating work or where I live but because I compressed myself into my routines.
Before I went away I was burnt out, tired and stressed and all I kept saying is I have a whole month off to zone out .. even though that was true, I feel like there should be more than just burning ourselves out to relax for a short period of time.
We constantly put ourselves under pressure, and let everything build up until we burn, and I get it, work pressure and those everyday jobs do take over, but it’s our wellness that is affected by this.
I’m 100% guilty of this, when I go home after work or I have spear time, my energy is low and I don’t do nothing for myself, most time I just sit on social media which makes your energy even lower..
So I’m going to make an effort to put more positive energy into my day when I’m back! Just the little things can make a massive difference. A walk after work down the seafront, even if that means a massive duvet coat and a scarf; get back into my own yoga practice as I’ve been slacking for a while; and just do more things I love without feeling guilty. I hate that it took Hawai’i to make me realise what was missing.
Yes there are going to be hectic days, stressful deadlines and god knows what else.. but maybe if I have a down day, I won’t let it last for a month; the aim is to let myself rest for a day but get back into doing the things I love.
Even though that Hawai’i is not over yet (Thank God!! Let me stay foreverrr!), I wanted to put a reminder out there for me or anyone that needs it - it’s okay to push stuff aside to take a little time for yourself. We are human! We are meant to feel all the emotions but just by going outside, you’ll feel the shift from negative energy to positive🌿
Well that was a rambling post! But in all honesty I cannot wait to flow with you all again soon!
