We have a social TT session tomorrow in the Old Schoolroom starting at 3pm. It’s just £3 per head and all the equipment is provided.

Since we started these sessions a year ago the numbers have ebbed and flowed but the last two sessions have been sparsely attended so tomorrow might be the last session we run for a while.

If you do fancy taking part just come along and get involved.

It’s social TT tomorrow in the Old Schoolroom at Rayne. It’s just £3 per head and you can come for as long as you like between 3-5pm.

We provide all of the kit so all you need to do is turn up ready for a bit of ping pong.

Last week the club held its annual hard bat tournament with Matthew Brown running out the winner. Matthew was presented with the Phil Wade Memorial shield, a trophy donated by our President, Paul Whybrow, in memory of our club member, Phil Wade.

The hard bats used are the same as those used in the World Championships of Ping Pong, and are very different to the modern rubber bats. The bats essentially consist of a basic wooden blade with a fine sandpaper on either side, and as a result they require a completely different skill set to master.

The event also raised £78 for charity thanks to the donations from club members.

On the final Sunday of each month we hold social TT sessions in the Old Schoolroom at Rayne. The sessions are just £3 each and we provide all of the equipment and a cup of tea!!
