It's not about being the best. It's about showing up. Yes, consistentcy will make a difference, but try not to be judgemental if you miss a day or a week or a month, you can start again. Step by step the changes will come. I also struggle with this, but will keep getting back on the "horse" every time I fall off. We can do this 💪

Balance and equilibrium are fundamental in so many aspects of life. If we do not keep a healthy equilibrium then we start to become unbalanced and momentum takes over drawing us off course, off kilter, off track. If we can balance our bodies, minds, work and play, then we can remain steady, stable and reliable. How do you fare?

Perfectly imperfect. That's goes for the majority of our bodies. We all have our imbalances and imperfections, but our bodies are beautiful things and deserve to be looked after and respected. Mindful daily movement helps us to do this. As does a good holiday!

Alignment, Breathing and Centering are essential principles in Pilates. It takes time, practice and concentration to connect the mind to the body, but it is more than worth it. We can all benefit from taking a moment to slow down and reflect on how our body feels as we move. That tight glute can affect the opposite shoulder, and that tight ITB can weaken the adductors causing knee issues. Everything is connected.

The Posterior Chain ⛓: Comprising of muscles at the back of the body, including the Latissimus Dorsi, erector spinae (muscles that run along the spine), Glute Maximus, Hamstrings and Calf muscles. A strong posterior chain is essential in supporting the body and maintaining good posture and mobility 💪.
This Superman exercise is great for the posterior chain. It is important to keep hips stable and level, try not to let the hips drop & lower back arch. The stabilising hand and knee, connecting to the ground, need to be under the shoulder and hip respectively to aid balance and posture.
