4th Aug 23, KLV-C played away to Great Hollands, needing a minimum of 7 points to secrue 2nd place in the league. The good news was they secured a emphatic 9-1 points win and 56-45 shots. Rinks scores 18-12, 23-18 and 15-15. Skips were Adnan Jaswari, Clive Payne and Roger Massam.
4th Aug 23 - KLV-A vs Reading. A great win for MEBC in the last match of the season beating Reading A 8-2 points and by 55-43 shots, drawing two rinks and winning one. Rink scores 13-13, 23-11, 19-19. Skips Keith Hawkins, Mike Lewis, Mike Fraser.
A good performance by the men saw them overcoming Windsor and Eton in the county club championship this evening. A tense finish saw the home teams skipped by Keith Hawkins win 14-12, Mike Fraser lose 13-16. With the away triples skipped by Mike Lewis winning 20-11 and Trevor Wright losing 15-17. A good solid performance see them meeting Reading or Tilehurst in the semi final.
28th Jul 23 - KLV-C MEBC vs Maidenhead at home. A tight game but ultimately saw MEBC lose two rinks and draw one. Points 1-9, Shots 43-47. Rink scores were 16-17, 16-16, 11-14. Skips were Clive Payne Neil Monham and Frank Cunnington.
The final event of the weekend was the Semi finals and final of the County Double Mixed fours competition. The semi finals saw Reading beat Shrivenham with the last bowl of the match and Suttons beating Hagbourne in the last end. The final was a very damp affair with almost constant rain. However, this did not dampen the standard or excitement of yet another last wood win by Reading over Suttons. Well done to all participants and spectators who braved the inclement weather.

The second event of the weekend was the drawn triples where we had 60 members playing down to two teams that qualified for the final. The two successful teams were Shakira Romain, Stan Hughesdon and Trevor Wright who will play Jane Bazley, Malvin Tull and Clive Thrower. As can be seen from the pictures a fine afternoon was enjoyed by all.

A very very busy weekend at the club saw the presentation of the prizes for the THP Sponsored Drawn mixed pairs that was held a few weeks ago. Congratulations to Margaret and Robin on their victory. https://thpsolicitors.co.uk/
Congratulations to the MEBC men who won in their Club Championship game against Maidenhead Town. A timely four on the last end of the last game meant a win by 1 shot.
25 July 2023- KL Home v Windsor and Eton. A good result against our rivals at the bottom of Division 1, winning on 3 of the 4 rinks and the overall match. 12-2 on points and 69-52 shots. Rink scores: 25-14, 17-11, 17-9, 10-18. Skips: Mark Hiley, Mike Fraser, Robin Rapley and Mike Lewis

21st Jul 23 - KLV-A vs Wokingham A. A good match but unfortunately a 2-8 points loss, 49-59 shots. Rinks 22-24, 10-22, 17-13, Skips Mike Lewis, Mike Fraser and Trevor Wright.
21st Jul 23 - KLV-C vs Wargrave at home. Came away with a 8-2 points win in what was quite a tight match. Overall shots 53-48. Rink scores 23-14, 12-20, and 18-14. Skips were Adnan Jaswari, Neil Monham and Clive Payne. MEBC remain in 2nd place in the league.
20 Jul 23 - KLV-B vs Crowthorne. A great result for MEBC with good wins on all three rinks. 10-0 points and 77-36 shots. Individual rinks 29-11, 23-14, 25-11. Skips Keith Boulter, Guy O'Connor, Frank Parkinson.
Congratulations go out to the Maiden Erlegh Senior fours team of Marj MacKenzie, Tracy Tackley, Karen Arding and Chris Fellowes who won their County Semi Final yesterday at Reading. They now go on to play a team from Caversham in the final at Tilehurst. The date is TBD.
13th Jul 23 - KLV-B vs Suttons at home. An excellent result for MEBC with wins on two rinks and a draw, giving 9-1 points and 52-46 shots. Individaul rink scores 18-14, 21-19, 13-13. Skips Frank Parkinson, Keith Boulter, Peter Heyes.
7th Jul 23 - KLV-C vs Wokingham at home. Wins on all three rinks secured a perfect 10-0 win on points, 65-53 shots. Individual rinks 17-12, 28-8, 20-13. Skips were Adnan Jaswari, Neil Monhan, Chris O'Toole.
6th Jul 23 - KLV-A vs Great Hollands at home. With perfect bowls weather MEBC were able to secure an 8-2 points win and 58-42 on shots. Rinks 27-11 Mike Fraser, 15-18 Trevor Wright, 16-13 Keith Hawkins.
30th Jun 23 - KLV-B vs Wokingham home game. A win for MEBC MEBC 8-2 points and 68-34 shots. Rinks 29-6, 24-10, 15-18 (after deduction of 6 penalty shots). Skips Keith Boulter, Geoff Mottram, Frank Parkinson.
29th June 23 - KLV-C vs Suttons at home. A win for the team 7-3 points and 50-41 shots, with each side winning one rink and the third a draw. Skips were Adnan Jazrawi, Neil Monhan and Roger Massam.
29th Jun 23 - KLV-A vs Wokingham away. A tight game which went to the wire, but unfortunatley didn't fall MEBC's way, with a loss 2-8 points and 44-45 shots. Rinks 16-15, 17-18, 11-12, skips Frank Parkinson, Trevor Wright, Mike Fraser.
Good win for the men in the county club championship 75-57 against Caversham.

27nd June 2023, KL away v Desborough A. We had a decent performance away to a strong Desborough team, winning on 2 rinks, although a loss overall. 4-10 on points and score 61-87. Rink scores: 22-15, 9-34, 12-26 and 18-12. Skips: Mark Hiley, Mike Fraser, Keith Hawkins and Mike Lewis
22nd Jun 23 - KLV-B vs Twyford away. MEBC struggled with a combination of heat and a slow green, and were only able to score 2-8 on points and 35-64 shots. Rinks scores were 8-21, 8-26, 19-18, and skips were Keith Boulter, Guy O’Connor, Frank Parkinson.
23rd Jun 23 - KLV-A vs Palmer Park at home. A good result some tight games., but wins on two rinks saw MEBC come away 8-2 points and 49-47 shots. Individual rinks 15-14, 15-19, 19-14. Skips were Mike Fraser, Keith Hawkins, Mike Lewis.
19th June 23 - KLV-C vs Reading away. Despite loses on 2 of the 3 rinks MEBC were still able to take the match 6-4 points and 51-47 on shots. Individual rink scores were 22-8, 18-19, 11-20. Skips were Roger Massam, Frank Cunnington and Clive Payne.
16th Jun 23 - KLV-C, MEBC hosted Great Hollands and came away with an 8-2 points win and 60-38 shots. This now leaves them 2nd in the league. Individual rink scores 27-16, 24-8, 9-14, and skips were Roger Massam, Adnan Jaswari and Clive Payne.
15th Jun 23 - KLV-B, vs Woodley at home. Despite a very hot day MEBC were successful on all three rinks to take the match 10-0 points, and 71-30 shots. Individual rink scores 18-11,19-9, 34-10. skips were Keith Boulter, Guy O'Connor, Frank Parkinson.
11 Jun 23 - OTL, MEBC vs Henley away game. With wins on 3 rinks MEBC and a draw on shots 79-79, MEBC won the match overall 8-6 points. Individual rinks scores 21-13, 20-15, 14-15, 18-14, 6-22. Skips were Keith Boulter, Trevor Wright, Guy O'Connor, Mike Fraser, Babs Hughesdon,
7th June 23 - OTL vs Palmer Park away. A slightly disappointing result with a win on only one rink and a draw, saw MEBC 3-11 on points and 77-85 shots. Rinks scores 15-17, 15-17, 13-23, 16-16, 18-12. Skips were Chris O'Toole, Babs Hughesdon, Robert Spencer, Stan Hughesdon and Trevor Wright.
10th Jun 23 - Friendly, away match vs Windsor and Eton. MEBC recieved a lovely welcome when travelling to Windsor, and despite losses on 3 rinks took the overall match 93-83 shots. Rinks scores 12-17, 16-18, 19-25, 24-11, 22-12. Skips were Karen Arding, Neil Arding, Robert Spencer, Frank Cunnington, Geoff Mottram.
12th Jun 23 - KLV-A vs Reading A, away game. A hot and humid afternoon saw MEBC win on all rinks to take all 10 points, and 63-49 shots. Rink scores 23-17, 24-20, 16-12. Skips were Mike Lewis, Mark Hiley and Mike Fraser.
9th Jun 23 - KLV-C vs Maidenhead Town away. Excellent result to complement the sunshine, saw MEBC score 8-2 on points and 59-45 on shots, having secured wins on two rinks. Skips were Clive Payne, Adnan Jazwari and Neil Monhan.
9th Jun 23 - KLVA vs Suttons away. A good result for MEBC against tough opposition in the local derby. Although we lost on two rinks, an excellent result on the third rink saw us take the match 6-4 on points and 47-37 on shots. Rinks were 24-6, 10-16, 13-15, and skips Mike Fraser, Keith Hawkins and Mike Lewis.
2nd Jun 23 - KLVC - MEBC vs Wargrave away match. MEBC came away with an 8-2 victory on points and winning shots of 53-43. The rink scores were 22-11, 20-13, and 12-17. Skips were Clive Payne, Neil Monhan, Adnan Jazrawi. Currently the team sit in second place in the league, equal on points to Reading B, but a slightly lower shot difference.
1st Jun 23 - TVLL. MEBC ladies entertained Reading at home . After a very competitive game MEBC won on all rinks so took the full 10 points . Congratulations to new bowler Jackie Mackay who stepped up to play lead . Skips were Mary Parkinson 13-11, Jas Edwards 20-16 & Chris Fellows 17-16 .It's been a good start to our Div 1 season and after 4 games we are lying second on equal points .
24th May 23 Oddfellows Triples vs Hurst away. A good result and wins on 4 rinks gave MEBC 12-2 on points and 87-72 shots. Individaul rinks scores 22-18, 14-12, 20-15, 12-15, 19-12, skips Mike Fraser, Ken Cheshire, Trevor Wright, Babs Hughesden, Chris O'Toole
20th May 23 - Oddfellows Triples vs Henley on Thames at home. Good wins on 2 rinks saw victory in the overall match. 8-6 points and 86-78 points. Rinks scores 14-15, 17-23, 24-10, 11-21, 20-9. Skips Ken Cheshire, Mike Fraser, Frank Parkinson, Chris Fellowes, Mary Parkinson.
26th May 23 - KLVC vs Desborough at home. A close game on 2 rinks but ultimately we lost the match 8-2 on points, and 41-49 shots, winning on one rink only.
26th May 23 - KLVA vs Bracknell A. We hosted Bracknell but sadly suffered a loss 2-8 on points and 40-60 on shots. Rink scores 10-19, 19-18, 11-23. Skips were Mark Hiley, Mike Fraser and Keith Hawkins respectively.
