Many of you will be members of British Cycling. Today they announced a sponsorship deal with Shell who are one of the biggest causes of carbon emissions and who pay people to lobby the government on behalf of the oil and gas industry, hence the almost total lack of comment on carbon emissions reduction or any climate change commitment.
We do not endorse this and will be recommending people to join We Are Cycling UK.

After many years of fixing customers' bikes we have found that most problems are caused by gears and brakes needing attention. So the course will show you how to carry out the necessary checks and adjustments in these areas.
Each section will start with an intro into how that mechanism is supposed to work, show you what often goes wrong along with how to fix it. There will be a demonstration and if time allows a chance for you to practice - bring your own bike along for this if you like.
Everything will be provided from tools to workstands to aprons, even tea/coffee/biscuits :) .
We hope you will find it fun, informative and valuable. We'd be especially pleased of you could use your new skills to your family and friends fix their bikes.
There are 2 sessions to choose from - these will be held 6.30-9pm Tuesday 30th November and Tuesday 7th December. Limited spaces available so book your place quick to avoid dissapointment - https://bookwhen.com/bike-fix-course#focus=ev-sdct-20211130183000

You've bought a nice new bike and good chain to keep it safe. But sometimes the details can make all the difference. Think about bike security and give the thieves a hard time

Not bike related but if you like gardening then have a read/take a look.
Tomorrow we will be hosting our first session from our new home :) (Saturday 30th January 10 am to 2 pm Unit C10, Weldale Street, RG1 7BX). If the weather is bad we will still be able to work in the garage with the door open. Social distancing and masks still apply. Hope to see you there.....
We will have our last session at The Queens Arms on Saturday 10-2 before moving to our new premises on Weldale Street (we're aiming to have our first session there Saturday 30th January). If you plan on coming to QA this Saturday please bring a face mask and socially distance
This Saturday's session (16th January) is CANCELLED. Sorry for any inconvenience - I'll post again when I know the next session is taking place
Please note that this Saturday's session will be between 10-12 and for emergency and straightforward fixes ONLY. There will only be one volunteer to minimise the Covid risk. If you do wish to attend please try to arrive early and wear a face mask

We will be running a session 10-2 tomorrow at The Queens Arms. Please bring a mask if you wish to attend
With the new lockdown now in place we are reducing our hours this Saturday from 10-12, with a high probability of not having any further sessions until after lockdown. Please check the website prior to coming down. We can only have two customers at a time and easy fixes only. Fingers crossed we will resume on 5th December.
From now on all customers are kindly requested to wear masks at our Saturday sessions. Stay safe everyone
We are one of the bike repair buisnesses involved with the new government Fix your Bike Voucher Scheme. If you have a voucher please bring your bike along if it's in need of some work or a service - you will get a lot more with your £50 with us than a normal bike shop. Please also tell anyone you think with a bike who may benefit from this. Thanks
For anyone not already aware we are now back open Saturdays 10-2 at The Queens Arms (not 10-4 like before). We work outside and practise social distancing (the occasional session may have to be cancelled if the weather is particularly bad to avoid getting wet - please get intouch beforehand if in doubt).
Also we've been told that customers are no longer allowed to park outside QA so if you drive you'll have to pay to park on the road or in the car park next door

I'm afraid this is another appeal regarding two stolen bikes (one is the Trek mountain bike pictured, and the other is a gunmetal grey fixie with stickers along the top tube, a purple chain and black Halo wheels which unfortunately the owner doesn't have a picture of). If anyone hears or sees anything please get in touch...

A customer has very sadly had her bike stolen. Here are some details -
Trek 8500 bike in black with some grey and red. Mavic rims, Bontrager finishing kit. Shimano XT. Stolen on 30th April.
please get in touch if you hear or see anything
We have made the difficult decision to shut up shop for the forseeable future/until Covid 19 passes. I hope you all understand and look forward to opening again on the other side
