We want to say thank you to The Gym Reading West for allowing us to host our Prostate Cancer Awareness Campaigns for over three years running.
Our 2018 Prostate Cancer Awareness campaign saw record numbers of men PSA tested for cancer and members of our group interviewed by ITV news. PLEASE any men middle-aged and over reading this get tested, we can't tell you how many lives have changed through being tested,
This year we host our last Prostate Cancer Awareness Campaign event before we move on and are looking for a handful of 'die-hard' gym members who love high-intensity workouts to join us on The SS1OOO Rep Challenge.

Hello, my name is Ronald Zammit and I am a Trainee Clinical Psychologist at the University of Southampton. I am running a brief pilot study investigating the impact of different writing tasks on how we feel about our bodies. This pilot study will help to inform the design of my doctoral thesis which will aim to investigate how meditation training can be applied in both clinical and personal settings to improve body image satisfaction in the older adult population.
If you decide to take part, you will be asked to complete a 5-minute writing task and some questionnaires related to body image and mood. This should take approximately 15 minutes.
By taking part in this study, you will be helping raise awareness of body image satisfaction in later life. We also hope that the outcome of this study will help to inform treatments to address body image concerns and improve quality of life in the older adult population.
To participate, you must be over the age of 18 years. Given the nature of this study, individuals with either a current or previous eating disorder are advised not to take part in the study.
If you are interested in taking part, you can follow this link to find out more about the study:

Should you have any questions, or wish to discuss this with me further, please do not hesitate to contact me at

Thank you very much for your taking the time to read this post, and I look forward to your participation.
This is what the website says about classes next week. Is this correct? Are the 8.30 and 9.30 classes facilitated by Shaun?
