⚠️ SCAM ALERT & SAFETY NOTICE ⚠️
We have been made aware of a fraudulent Facebook profile impersonating Palmers Stables by using our name and business address on an AI generated poster to advertise horses for sale.
Please be advised:
❌ Palmers does NOT sell horses. We exclusively offer livery services for horse owners and facilitate loaning for our own horses within our yard premises.
❌ We do NOT conduct business or financial transactions via Facebook Messenger.
While we have reported this imposter profile to Meta/Facebook (and would encourage others to do the same if you come across this copy-cat page), the page currently still remains active, and some of its posts are unfortunately being widely shared. We urge everyone to remain extremely vigilant when searching for a horse online and to thoroughly verify sellers before sharing personal details or sending money.
If you have been targeted or lost money to an online scammer:
❗Report to Action Fraud (the UK's national reporting centre for fraud and cybercrime): https://www.reportfraud.police.uk/
❗Or you can submit details anonymously to Crimestoppers: https://crimestoppers-uk.org/
❗Contact Your Bank Immediately: If you have transferred any money, contact your bank or card issuer right away to stop or recover the transaction.
Please share this notice to help us protect the equestrian community from these scam accounts! 🐎
