Reddish Angling Club 1951

Reddish Angling Club 1951 Reddish Angling Club is a members owned fishing club based in Reddish, Stockport. Jacksons pond is situated off Melanie Drive in Reddish.

Its stocked with Roach, Bream, Perch, Ide, Tench, Crucian Carp, Common Carp, Mirror Carp, Barbel, Gudgeon and the odd Dace.

Quite a few on the pond fishing today, turned out a nice for it.

A good turn out for todays work party, quite a bit of tidying up completed before rain stopped play for the rest of the morning. Hedges trimmed, Grass Cut, tree cut back for car park cctv, wood chipping out down the side path.

We have no water quality issues. With pH of 7, no ammonia, nitrite or nitrate present. Dissolved oxygen at 5.83 mg/L & 63.15% saturation and a tempurature of 18 C. We have clean water flowing in at a good rate with a water level at the bottom of the inlet pipe

IMPORTANT NOTICE....
Please can all members be vigilant whilst fishing, any sightings of Mink please get photo evidence for the EA.

Rat and a Mink look very similar both are long, low to the ground, dark-colored, and roughly similar in weight when seen out of the corner of your eye near water or brush

Picture attached of a Mink, size average 500mm or 20 inches from head to tail.
