Road bike with gear issues rolled in recently, shifter working but not moving the mech's a quick look found the bottom bracket guide to be broken! Internet searching discovered UK store out of stock till 4th September (job in a fortnight ago), other stores will not ship to UK! So, some shed engineering underway! Measured the gap between the guide and bb tube, made a b**g, hot glue filled to make a mold, fit it all together and secure, interestingly, whilst searching the internet, I found an image of the same part on the owners forum, an almost identical failure to the one in my hand, even down to the small angles of the split!
