Floating Sound Baths This Summer!

We have been having some beautiful feedback on this sound healing experience.

Deep relaxation and sheer bliss as you lay back and float away to the sound of Gongs and a variety of instruments by Gong Master Katerina Lafite.

Sound healing is a beautiful tool to wellness.
But sound healing on the water is another level!

Try it out this summer at the foothills of Boxhill, Surrey Burford Bridge Lido - Granite Leisure

Dates are on my website now.
Put them in your diary and make sure that you add yourself to the waitlist to be told as soon as spots open up!

Good Monday morning!

I hope that your week is filled with mindful balance of the things you love and the things you just have to get done.

It’s ok and right to prioritise your practice.

Yoga practice helps us to find the way to that balance.

“Atha yoga-anushasanam” ✨
Now, yoga begins.

I love this reminder from Patanjali — we don’t need the perfect moment to begin, just a willingness to arrive as we are. 🤍

Thank you for the opportunity to teach this beautiful community class!

This is certainly the biggest class I’ve ever taught at 75 people I will be honest I felt nervous.

I have a bit of a moto for life and it goes like this. ‘Do things that scare you often and we will grow out of comfort zones into the places we dream of’.

Outgrowing ourselves isn’t meant to be comfortable.

Is there something you’ve been wanting to do but something is holding you back? Go on, be bold. Be nervous and scared and do it anyway. 🤗

Have a great week.

I look forward to seeing you over the summer for more boxhill yoga in nature with more sun ☀️ and less wind 💨

When I took my very first yoga teacher training my teacher asked the group to write in the back of our books our ‘WHY’? What lead us to take the step to understand the depths of what yoga is really all about?

And what was it that we were doing it for?

Every one of us comes to take our teacher training with varying different reasons.

What would yours be?
Or if you already teach
Do you remember what your was?

The TTC course I teach on is the very course that I took myself with the same incredible teacher, author, life coach.

If you already have your ‘why’ i hope you have the courage to take this positive step. We are meeting on the 6th may on zoom for an informal Q&A. Dm for link.

This body is 46 today 🎂
Age is a privilege not all of my friends and family have had. So I don’t take this health for granted one bit. I’ve had my wake up calls on health too and I have answered that bloody phone. ☎️

I hear it load and clear - Health is the only wealth!

A by product of my yoga practice is incredibly weird strength so now and again, usually when I’m serving the Sunday dinner I’ll just, y’know do a peacock posture on the dinning table. Or stand on my head, or balance on strange things.

I’m getting older but stronger than ever - I hope you feel like that too.

Everyone can do that, if they practice yoga.

A beautiful picture of buckland park lake yesterday. There was a stunning mist over all of Buckland. It was a picture, one that shows deep tranquility.

I remember hearing B.K.S Iyengar speaking about the mind. He said “The beauty of a lake reflects the beauty around it. When the mind is still, the beauty of the Self is seen reflected in it”

Is your mind tranquil enough to reflect your true self? Do you know this is actually the real purpose of yoga? You may think it’s the poses but that is only an eighth of the entire science. Yes only 1 / 8.

Come along to class to find out more.

I used to define progress by getting stronger and more able to do the challenging postures. But now I view progress as my ability to cope when the things I grow attached to are taken away.

I can not do this posture anymore but I can do ressilience!

After an accident where I fell of a ten foot ladder onto my sternum I genuinely didn’t think I would be able to teach anymore let alone do the stronger postures again.

It’s bizarre that the yoga I learned to do helped me when I had to stop doing the yoga I loved.

Keep practicing without the attachment to the outcome. Your practice may not be a linear line of improvement. It may be different to what you had planned. There may be bumps in the road. But use the resilience and equanimous mind that this practice cultivates.

Being open to all of the lessons and blessing - this is yoga.
