A great start to our βGreat Escapeβ project.
Our Welcome To Our Woods, Woodland Therapy volunteers were going to be welcoming NHS front line workers into the woods to take part in our Woodland Therapy sessions for some well needed rest bite. But because of COVID restrictions we come up with a remote version.
22 NHS staff have received a Woodland Therapy self care toolbox, a pdf booklet of outdoor activities for relaxation and a weekly fun get together on zoom, including mindfulness and Zumba.
This is a great story as people who were firstly referred to Woodland Therapy as NHS patients have now become volunteers and are helping hard working NHS staff relax, recharge and improve their own mental health.
If the NHS staff are fitter and healthier themselves they can carry on doing the fantastic job of caring for the nation
