I have some spaces on a Paddlesport Safety & Rescue course on 8th Feb. If anyone is interested please get in contact to discuss if this is the course for you or if you have any questions. The course will run in the Swansea area.

Throughout the course, candidates will explore simple strategies and safe skills that can provide the tools to solve common paddling issues and prevent issues from occurring. The course content focuses on rescuing from the paddlers specific craft and covers equipment, safety frameworks, as well as a range of rescues including contact and towing rescues, self-rescues and deep water rescues. This course can be used as a prerequisite for the Paddlesport Instructor Award or targeted at those wanting to attend coaching or leadership awards in sheltered water or used to improve people's awareness in rescuing and keeping yourself and others safe on the water.

It’s been a busy few months for paddling courses, in particular Canoe Polo Coach Training and assessments taking place around the UK.

It’s been great to see the demand for the course growing and working with a such a wide range of clubs, knowledgeable and experienced coaches and players on their journey to get qualified.

In the last 2 months I’ve delivered courses at with Zoe Anthony which has been rounded off this weekend with 4 new Polo Coaches from

I’ve also had other clubs join these courses from across the UK including .canoe.polo

One more Polo Coach Training to run before the end of the year in Cumbria and plenty of other training and assessments.

Core Coach Training

The BCAB Core Coach Training is the first step in becoming a coach and is the gateway to a wide range of discipline specific training courses.

It is not often I get spaces on courses but here’s your chance.

This 2 day training course will take place in the Cardiff area on 1st & 2nd February.

Day 2 Paddlesport Instructor for the staff .adventures. A great fun group to work with

Not a bad way to end a trip in Scotland, with a visit to Loch Dochart and Loch Iubhair on the way back south.

Nice lunch spot, lots of wildlife and a castle.

Great start to the trip earlier this week with a paddle out from Arisaig and a little sail back through the islands

It’s been great working with everyone on their journey to achieve this award and all the different providers I’ve had opportunity to work with over this training season, sharing each others knowledge and experience.

Looking for people to be led Thursday 19th January for a Canoe Leader Assessment due to a drop out.

It’s been a busy few weeks which has included FSRTs, Core Coach Training, Leadership Award Trainings & Assessment, Paddlesport Instructor Courses and First Aid, Canoe Wales provider events for PSI and PSR.

Just because I’m not busy on Social Media doesn’t mean I’m not busy.
