📝 New Community Creative Writing Class at Anglesey Golf Club! 📝

Fancy giving creative writing a go? Fiona Owen is launching a free community writing class right here at the club, starting Wednesday 9th September, and running fortnightly on Wednesday mornings, 11am–1pm.

☕ Free to attend (thanks to the Golf Club!) — just pay for your own drinks, snacks or lunch.
✍️ All levels welcome, including complete beginners.
📖 Poetry, short fiction and memoir, with a fun, playful approach.
🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 Sessions run mainly in English, but you’re very welcome to write and share in Welsh too.

Fiona brings decades of teaching experience — Coleg Menai, WEA, Bangor University, the Open University, and formerly ran the Ucheldre Literary Society in Holyhead. She also runs a writing-for-wellbeing project called Eye of the Storm. You can find out more about her own writing and music at www.rhwng.com.

Lady Captains Day

Friday 21st August 2026

The ladies had a fantastic day, the weather was good and a great time was had by all.

The theme of the day was rainbow 🌈, to bring colour onto the corse and they certainly succeeded.

The winner of the Stableford competition was Rachel Davies with an amazing score of 42 points. She also won the prize for the most colourful outfit.

We welcomed some of our New 2 Golf ladies who took part in playing 4-holes.

Thanks to all who took part 🏌️‍♂️

Cafodd y merched ddiwrnod gwych. Roedd y tywydd yn braf, a chafodd pawb amser bendigedig.

Thema’r dydd oedd yr enfys 🌈, er mwyn dod â lliw i’r cwrs, ac fe lwyddodd y merched yn sicr i wneud hynny!

Enillydd cystadleuaeth Stableford oedd Rachel Davies, gyda sgôr anhygoel o 42 pwynt. Enillodd hefyd y wobr am yr wisg fwyaf lliwgar.

Roeddem hefyd yn falch o groesawu rhai o’n merched New 2 Golf, a gymerodd ran drwy chwarae 4 twll.

Diolch i bawb a gymerodd ran ac a helpodd i wneud y diwrnod yn un mor arbennig!
