Watching the World Cup? ⚽🏆

If you are, you might have seen Mikel Oyazarbal play for Spain. He's been having a fantastic tournament with four goals and an assist so far 🔥

Footballers make genuinely strong hockey players, and Spain’s Mikel Oyarzabal, whose their star striker at the moment is a perfect example. He played hockey when he was younger and said:

“I used to play hockey and I scored many goals. It doesn’t matter if you missed one - there will be more.”

That mindset fits both hockey and football The awareness you build in football, the timing, the passing, the movement off the ball and all of it translates well and transfers straight into hockey.

Hockey is a brilliant second sport. It builds confidence, coordination and game understanding in a way that complements football perfectly.

Rhyl & District Hockey Club is welcoming adult, youth and juniors. Whether you want to try something new yourself or get your child involved in a friendly, local club, we’d love to see you there.

Training Thursdays 6:30-7:30pm for all teams (junior, youth and senior) at Rhyl High All Weather Pitch. Training is free till October
