Very sad and shocking news that Gareth Bowen, younger brother of Derek ‘Dickie’ Bowen, and himself a Park forward in the 1980s/90s, has died suddenly at his Bristol home at the ago of just 55: well, he would have been 55 tomorrow. Every sympathy goes to Dickie and all the family from everyone at the Brewers. Further details when known. On another front, the weather spoiling the Cup matches last weekend means that this Saturday our scheduled home League visitors, Abertillery BG, have to go instead to Dowlais, our one point vanquishers in the last round. Drat. Akky.
