⚽ FULL-TIME: ABERCARN AWAY
Today we travelled down to Abercarn knowing this is always a tricky fixture for us — and today was no different.
The first half was a little scrappy, with both teams battling hard and neither side really able to settle into a rhythm. Despite that, we managed to go into the break 2–1 up, with Harry N grabbing both goals. 👏
The second half started to open up for us, and two quick goals from Finley J and Oscar B gave us a real confidence boost.
What followed was probably one of our best spells of football. We kept the ball, moved it around the pitch and passed with the composure of senior players. It was fantastic to watch the boys trust each other and play the football we know they are capable of.
That spell led to two more goals from Josh B, completing a really strong attacking performance. ⚽⚽
It was a good, strong performance against a very good Abercarn side. We did switch off at times and there are certainly a few errors we need to work on, but that's part of the journey.
What is really pleasing is the consistency we are starting to see from these boys. They are working hard for each other, fighting for every game and, most importantly, showing a real desire to win.
The progress is there for everyone to see. 💪
