Arrive for 6.30pm for reception drinks and canapés, followed by a special four-course dinner menu created by Head Chef Ashely Binder. Experience the best of local game in a menu carefully designed for the enjoyment of the converted and the non-converted game gourmet, with selected wines paired to accompany the menu

Price: £118.15 per person for BASC members (£139.00 per person for non-members)

BASC North are delighted to announce that we will be running our annual Pie & Pea Supper (Lets talk Shooting evening) on Thursday 29th October.
We have a great line of up speakers including Robbie Moore MP (MP for Keighley & Ilkley), Charlie Jacoby (Field Sports TV), Gareth Dockerty - BASC Executive Director of Shooting & Operations, Patrick O'Reilly - BASC Head of Social Science and Martin Parker - BASC Head of Fi****ms.
We will also be showing the first screening of a new BASC film 'The call of the Marsh' an emotional and evocative look into the future of Wildfowling.
Ox Close Farm are sponsoring the evening and supplying the venison pies.
We have a number of trade stands including: HIKMICRO, Northallerton Shooting & Country wear, Sir Johnny Scott, UK Squirrel Accord (UKSA), The Northern Country Sports show, and The Gamekeepers Welfare Trust (GWT).
Simon Grace will be running a huge Charity raffle with some amazing sporting prizes with all proceeds going to GWT.

Calling all young shots!! Ever wanted to try wildfowling? This could be the perfect opportunity

Thanks to the generosity of Frodsham and District Wildfowlers Club, four BASC Junior members will have the chance to experience a morning flight on their marsh on the 18th October. The invitation is open to junior members who have some sh***un shooting experience, but are new to wildfowling

If your young one is looking to take their first steps into wildfowling or hoping to learn more before joining a local club, this promises to be an unforgettable experience guided by experienced wildfowlers

Have you ever fancied learning to shoot an air gun or rimfire r***e?

BASC North are delighted to run a mixed age (children from 10+ years up to adults) novice r***e and Air r***e day at Baildon R***e & Pistol Club on Saturday 5th September

Open to both BASC members and non-members the day is for youngsters and adults who want to learn how to safely handle and shoot and air r***e and rimfire r***es including .22LR and .17HMR

This day is perfect for parents wanting to learn to shoot with their children

There will also be an element of Game preparation which will include being shown how to pluck and breast a Wood pigeon and how to make and BBQ some delicious Wood pigeon skewers.

Anyone who has their own sub 12 ftlb Air r***e is welcome to bring it along on the day.

Cost: BASC members £30 per person, non-members £45 per person.

🪿 Wildfowlers, take note! There's still time to apply for a seasonal permit at Lindisfarne National Nature Reserve in Northumberland.

While there's no formal deadline, Natural England issues a limited number each year, and with the season starting in a week, they won't hang around.

We’re very much looking forward to attending the Westmorland County Show & Agricultural Society next month on the 9th & 10th September.

Come along and visit our stand, where you can update your membership, enjoy some of our game tasters, and chat with us about any shooting or conservation-related questions you may have.

We’re also pleased to be joined again by Westmorland Wildfowlers Association, who will be demonstrating all things wildfowling and showcasing some of the many important conservation projects they’re involved with.

It promises to be a fantastic couple of days, so we’ll look forward to seeing you there!
