So, now that our Wednesday evening rides have come to an end for this year, it's time to talk about our first daytime ride, which will take place on Saturday 7th November.

We'll set off from outside our shop at 10 am, with an early stop at Bon Coeur Fine Wines for a coffee or tea and a pastry before setting off again.

We recommend taking some energy food with you on the ride. If you need to purchase any, you'll be able to do so from our shop before we set off.

The deadline for submitting your food choices is Saturday 31st October, so if you're attending, please let us know before then.

TONIGHTS ROAD RIDE IS CANCELLED.
With rain due from 6 pm and expected to continue until at least 10 pm, I’ve decided to cancel tonight’s road ride. It’s a shame, as it’s the last evening road ride of the year.

I’d like to say a huge thank you to all the riders who turned up on Wednesday evenings this year. Your presence each week and the camaraderie have been amazing! This cycling group is so much more than just a bunch of cyclists. The friendships we’ve all made whilst pedalling and socialising in our local pubs have brought our local community together—something I’m very proud of indeed.

It was such a shame that we missed quite a few of our regular Wednesday Wheelers this year due to injuries. However, I’m hoping to see you all again next year when you’re fully recovered, so I can ride alongside you and see you smile again as we chat along the lanes.

I’d also like to thank our fantastic local pubs for looking after us. Nothing was too much trouble, and you always made us feel so welcome. I personally believe in shopping local as much as possible, and I hope we’ve helped you all during these testing times.

The Wednesday Wheelers!

Who's coming to the last evening road ride of the year?

I'm afraid we've come to that time of year again when the temperatures are dropping and we're rapidly losing daylight. But haven't we had another blinder of a year on our bikes?

So, I've decided to make our last Wednesday evening road ride of the year Wednesday, 21st October.

Here's the route:

We'll all meet outside our shop at 6:15 pm and ride to Brompton-on-Swale, Scorton, Moulton, Middleton Tyas, Melsonby, Caldwell, Hutton Magna, Newsham, Dalton, Gayles, Kirby Hill and finally, The Turf Hotel Richmond.
