Can our team qualify for the England Golf National Championships?

🏌️‍♂️ Moor Park A Team 11.5 – 0.5 Royston A Team 🏌️‍♂️

A superb team performance on Sunday saw Moor Park record an 11.5–0.5 victory over Royston in the Hertfordshire Men’s Scratch League.

The morning foursomes gave us a strong platform, finishing 3.5–0.5, with the only halved match coming down to the very last hole.

The afternoon singles produced an outstanding display, with every Moor Park player winning their match to complete a clean sweep .

It was particularly pleasing to see a blend of experience and youth contributing throughout the day, with the whole squad delivering for the team.

👏 Congratulations to all the players who represented Moor Park.

We would also like to thank Royston for a competitive match played in great spirit and wish them the very best for the remainder of the season.

A proud day for Rio Saigal and Moor Park golf club. 🏆

Moor Park has a rich history of developing talented young golfers, and today we saw one of our own reach the pinnacle of county golf.

Rio Saigal, who came through the junior ranks at Moor Park Golf Club and completed his U.S. college degree at Lipscomb University, was crowned Hertfordshire Men’s County Champion after an incredible week of golf.

Rio topped the strokeplay qualifying with rounds of 69 and 68, making 15 birdies along the way.

He then won his first matchplay match 5&3, his quarter-final 6&4, and came through a dramatic semi-final against Harry Cox on the third playoff hole.

In the final against Centurion’s James Baxter, Rio showed remarkable character. Two down with just three holes remaining, he battled back to force extra holes before securing the title on the first playoff hole.

This achievement is the culmination of years of hard work and the support of his family, coaches and everyone who has helped him on his journey.

Huge congratulations to Rio Saigal, Hertfordshire Men’s County Champion. 💪
