Congratulations to Roger Barton on finishing 2nd in the VIBE National Triples.
Roger and his team produced an outstanding campaign, playing 7 and winning all 7 matches — an incredible achievement in its own right.
Unfortunately, a shots deduction relating to a dress code ruling ultimately meant the team finished second, despite their unbeaten record. The circumstances make the result understandably disappointing, particularly given that the deduction proved decisive in the final standings.
But a final position on a results sheet doesn't tell the whole story. Everyone at Rickmansworth Bowls Club knows what an incredible campaign you and your team have had, and we couldn't be prouder of you.
More importantly, the way you continue to promote, represent and grow our sport for visually impaired bowlers is genuinely inspiring. Your achievements on the green are fantastic, but the impact you have beyond it is something to be equally proud of.
Keep doing what you do, Roger. You have the full support and admiration of everyone at RBC.
