?!?!?! Week 16 & 17 Fantasy Update !?!?!?

Week 16 was never uploaded so I’ve sandwiched the update with this week (and after 6 washouts there’s not been any massive changes). Captions for each slide are individual (thanks instagram).

For one last time - go well,

Goose 🪿 x

( , excited for club day next weekend 🏏🥳, big fantasy season roundup loading…)

> Week 16 <

Top 3 stays the same, Ivy (2593 pts) remains bottom and Billy triple captained himself for a week-high team score! (375 pts)

A solid TotW (500pts) this week included fifties for Bobby (81pts), Aman (85pts) and Waheed (89pts). Owen (38pts) made a rapid 28 and took a catch behind, and there were wickets for Vikram (3W, 102pts) and Nayan (4W, 105pts)!

Week 16 saw two players over 50% owned, with Bev the highest owned asset (71%). The ones all-rounders once again proving to be a difficult choice, with Billy (46%), Aman (36%), Harvey (29%) and Rameez (29%) all very popular.

Two more TotW picks in week 16: ⭐️Aman⭐️ and ⭐️Nayan⭐️!!! 199pts total is my best yet.

Looking at the weather, the week 16 picks are:
1. Yash - the coin toss will decide whether he gets a bat or a TFC…
2. Connor - making his 1s debut, Connor (Kippax family) is hoping to bring his great nick to Park Rd.
3. Met Office - feels like cheating but the weather gods aren’t predicting much cricket this weekend and so the Met Office holds our collective fate…

> Week 17 <

No headline changes in the league table after 6 washouts.

Well done to Owen for captaining Bev.

TotW: There were 4 players who made points this week as the 1s got a few overs in before the weather hit. still managed to take 2 wickets (43pts), one of them a catch held by 🪿(10pts). Rambo and Azeem had a maiden each (3pts).

Managers still made some points (34.5pts ave.) with teams being filled with 1s players last-minute. Bev still the most owned (64%) with late shifts to the Blackwell brothers, Rambo and Slop.

Vik is now the most valuable player (149.1 pts/£m) after another haul in Matchweek 16! No other changes to the top 5 most valuable players to report.

0 points on the ones to watch as my prediction of the Met Office going 6/6 on cancellation

?!?!?! Week 15 Fantasy Update !?!?!?

No movement at the top of the table this week as Billy remains in the driving seat with 3 games to go. Instead there’s news from the other end as Max climbs off the bottom, demoting Ivy back into the wooden spoon spot! In a fine showing for the self-captaincy stans (and the rest of the gaggle), I managed to make the best score of the week (450pts) and have jumped back into the top 10! ( )

Yet another low scoring TotW (432pts) included 2/3 Pails (Yashas 120pts, Vijay 57pts), 🪿 (96pts) and Harvey (60pts). Waheed (85pts) continued his fine form with 50 and Macca provided a bit of top order resilience in the 2s - he made 87.5% of the runs scored by the top 5 batters (14/16) 👀.

Pail no.3 (Vikram) has climbed to second most valuable player (118.2 pts/£m) this week after another consistent performance! And after a few weeks of being just out of the top 5, Waheed (111.5 pts/£m) jumps to 4th most valuable asset (and my spreadsheet remains undefeated 🧮)

Last week I picked some ones to watch...and I’ve only gone and packed TotW Yashas and TotW Harvey!!! 193pts for my tips last week (and I still don’t charge?)

This week I’ve gone for another range of team and player archetypes:
1. Vish - a middle-order maestro, Vish has been excellent at home this season. Recognised for his extensive ball-knowledge, rumours are he’s been scouted by Tuchel for the Euros to manage England’s substitutions.
2. Aman - the least owned of the all-rounder picks in the 1s despite being the highest wicket-taker in the club. He’s a big game player and this week is the biggest game of the 1s’ season…
3. Nayan - had a 75pt fantasy haul in his last home game and will open the bowling for the 3s on the nursery ground this week!

Go well as ever,

Goose 🪿 x

( , England currently offering 20% off for lessons in winning a home test match, can anyone stop Arsenal from back-to-back titles?)

?!?!?! Week 14 Fantasy Update !?!?!?

Billy May (4662pts) reclaims top spot! A great show of self-captaincy and the highest score of the week (333pts) sees him replace James H (4563pts), who sits 2nd. Macca is also back into the top 3 with a strong week.

Another low scoring TotW (424pts) saw a couple of deserved 50s for Jeevan (91pts) and Owen (82pts). Lekshay also features in back to back TotWs!

More popular picks this week! Shiv emerges as the highest owned player (and bowler) at 61% owned. His teammate Bobby remains the most popular batter and then it’s 3 of the 4(?) 1st team all rounders that are dividing managers. At a slightly lower price it’s clear to see Aman’s appeal although given recent form, Billy and Rambo are both highly popular options!

Last week I picked some ones to watch.

This week I’m looking at a mix of batting, bowling and all-roundering (tm)(c):
1. Snehal - a fast scoring opener in the 3s who has had towards success recently away from home and is 0% owned!
2. Harvey - the least owned of the all-rounder picks in the 1s despite excellent recent form; he made his highest fantasy score against this weeks’ oppo last time out…
3. Yash - Yash will join Vijay and Vikram in the 5s as the three (Pail) musketeers go to Hatch End. He’s a crafty spinner who will look to build on his great away record this season…

As ever - go well,

Goose 🪿 x

(Bangladesh fan since forever, how did we lose the ashes?, will Aus lose by an innings?)

?!?!?! Week 13 Fantasy Update !?!?!?

Some seismic shifts at the top! After a generational self-captaincy (and a week-best 518 pts) James Haines takes top spot - he becomes only the 4th different league leader this season (Izzy, Macca, Billy, Haines)!! Billy slides to second but is right with him as Kesh (🧊🙋‍♂️) holds third (albeit 152 pts behind).

A low scoring TotW was lead by James H (122pts), who made a 50, took a couple of poles and had a runout! Harvey (89pts) and Rambo (99pts) made telling contributions as the 1s continued their fine form; Nayan (73pts) and Lekshay (58pts) both scored with bat and ball. Stef (50pts) justified his status as a wicket keeper with sharp stumping and a catch!

One jump to report for the most valuable assets as Vik becomes the second most valuable pick (109.4pts/£m). Definitely a great enabler option to open up funds if you’re short on cash 💸!

I’ve brought back the popular picks tab this week as an extra - it’s Billy May currently most owned (54%). Over half the managers agree that his high price tag is worth it, and the data backs this up as Billy makes almost 100pts/£m.

Another great week for my ones to watch picks, with a total of 163pts and featuring ⭐️ TotW Nayan ⭐️!!

For my picks this week I’ve had a look into options from around the club. This week is the reverse fixtures of the washed out match week 5, so I’ve gone off instinct:

1. Izzy - she has scored all of her fantasy points in the last 3 weeks and averages 3 wickets per match!
2. G-man - the 3s skipper has been quietly going about his business this year (459pts) and is somehow only 4% owned?
3. Charlie - I’m backing him again! The reverse fixture saw RCC 2xi bowl out CCC for only 32 and Charlie has been lethal on the road this season (82% points scored away)…

As ever, go well, captain yourself,

Goose 🪿 (c) x

The 1s dug deep at St Albans, Harvey and Rameez put on 116 together to shift the momentum as they chased down 242 and kept top spot locked down 👑

The 3s got back to winning ways against Boxmoor. Taz led the charge with 47, backed by Hassan’s 39 and solid contributions from Stefan and Nitish to reach 200. The bowlers then kept Boxmoor at bay, restricting them to 160 and easing to victory☄️

The 4s pulled off a thriller against Old Elizabethans. Paul and Ansh put on a brilliant 115-run opening partnership to set the tone, then the Babbers chipped in as they posted 205 in 40 overs. It went down to the final over with OECC only needing 4 to win — Nasser bowled a wide, then snuck one through to win by the narrowest margin. 1 run! 🔥

The 2s fell 22 short against Sawbo despite good performances from James, Azeem and Shiv. The 5s couldn’t get going against Watford as they finished on 104.

Sunday XI stole the show — Ethan and Aman got off to a flying start with the bat, but it was Nikhil who proved to be the MoTM. A game-changing spell with the ball and crucial runs with the bat saw them claim the win and move to the top of the table 🔝💚

?!?!?! Week 12 Fantasy Update !?!?!?

It’s early Saturday afternoon, all 5 games are underway and there’s a fantasy update hole that’s needs to be filled. We are so back and it was another week of big changes and high scoring across the fantasy league!

Billy May surpasses 4000pts and leads the league but it’s a shocker for Macca who slides 3 places to 4th (hopefully the Scottish Ayr will help him clear his head). James Haines replaces him in 2nd after posting a week-best 543pts, with Kesh staying in 3rd.

TotW time and wow this was a high scoring week! Billy continued his excellent run of form in the 1XI (140pts), with Jeevan making a well-deserved 58 (83pts). Shiv and Macca both feature from the 2s. There were super performances from Nitish (59 and a wicket, 97pts) and Mark, who ended the 5s’ innings stranded 4 shy of a maiden ton (151 pts).

Most valuable is still even though he hasn’t been around as much for the past few weeks. Shiv jumps to second this week after another solid performance. This now means that the top 3 most valuable players are all from the 2XI - highlighting the great season they are having!

It was a huge week for my ones to watch picks, with all three players returning decent hauls. Jeevan made a fifty, Bobby had runs and a 3-fer and Hass also had 30 odd. Total points = 192, easily my highest scoring picks so far!!

For my picks this week I’ve had a look into some low-owned options from the 2s, 3s and 4s:
1. Charlie - a consistent operator opening the bowling in the 2s - should be a good wicket to bowl on down at Park Rd!
2. Nayan - will open the bowling in the 3s. Has to be a watch as an alternative this week - is 0% owned and took 4-fer against this oppo last time…
3. Aman - took a couple of wickets on debut in the 1s last week. Back in the 4s today with lots of potential batting at the top of the order and bowling plenty of overs…

As ever, go well this week (some already are…),

Goose 🪿 x

1st and 2nd push for promotion🌟

The 1s put on a commanding display at Park Road against Hemel. Jeevan set the tone up to as Billy top-scored with a season-best backed by Rameez and Aman. Harvey led with the new ball and Aman Babber took 2 on his 1st team debut 👑

The 2s kept their promotion charge alive with a tight win over Hemel 3rds. Tom, Bobby and Waqqas all got starts as they posted 163, then James Lancaster struck with the first ball of the innings to set the tone. A gritty performance with the ball saw them keep Hemel to 151 and edge out a crucial victory.

The 3s delivered a praiseworthy performance but came up short at 190 all out. The 4s were outmatched by Chipperfield’s overseas muscle, falling for 71.

But the 5s again delivered a fantastic game of cricket. Mark Raine rolled back the years, only one shot away from his first RCC century. Izzy Raine was brilliant with the ball. A memory both Dad and Daughter will treasure forever 💚

?!?!?! Week 11 Fantasy Update !?!?!?

4 consecutive weeks at the top is all Macca had as once again he’s toppled by Billy May. After playing some wicked mind games over triple captains and cups of concrete (not confirmed), Billy rises to reclaim top spot whilst posting the best team of the week. Still no self captaincy though (when will he learn?).

The TotW featured stellar individual efforts by Waheed (103 pts), Aman (66 pts), Vikram (67 pts) and Nikhil (88pts) as the 1s, 4s and 5s all won! There was also an awesome partnership in the 2s with Bobby and Macca runs (until Bobby decide not to 🔥).

Only 1 change to the top value picks - after a TotW performance Nikhil’s points/£m soars to over 80!

⭐️ A OtW pick in the TotW ⭐️

Aman has spent 11 weeks telling me I’m stupid to not pick him so I finally gave in and he delivered (Coach Manny says back yourself). He scored 66 pts with a handy 23* at the end of the 1s innings before taking 2(?) wickets and a grab at catching mid wicket. This pick was such a lock that new leader Billy captained him! (Billy 🤝🪿)

Jivo was unlucky to pick up a duck and Ubaid was 17 red at close of innings (I heard he was on to go big but for the lack of any runs to chase). A much more respectable 76 pts for my OtW overall.

For gameweek 11 I’ve gone for yet more runs (please sir):
1. Jeevan - the starts in his last few games suggest that an order of bulk runs is due soon and YeeHar is also getting more overs bowling his offies. Watch this space.
2. Bobby - maybe a boring pick but Bobby is a key fantasy alternative to Matt (🐨) for points with the bat. He’s had back to back TotW performances and made 60 against this oppo last time…
3. Hassan - having spoken with Hass at Thursday training, I’ve been given the assurance of runs at the top of the order in the 5s. He could be a bargain alternate pick to the others above ☝️.

Go well all of you playing this weekend,

Rory Quackilroy 🪿

(Can anyone make more than me on Saturday ⛳️🏌️‍♂️?, Lancs coming downhill at Hemel 😳, FPL is live - anyone got a good team name?)

🏏 All guns blazing for Ricky!

The 1s completed the double over Bushey with a comprehensive 71-run victory on a testing pitch. Billy anchored the innings backed by Matt as Ricky dug in hard to post 233. The bowling was clinical — Angus struck early, Rameez finished with 3 including a stunning catch by Aman at short mid-wicket. The result extends the lead to 27 points and keeps them top of the league 👑

The 4th XI made short work of Chorleywood, bowling them out for just 81. Nikhil and Nasser both took 3 apiece to dismantle them, before Anuj and Ubaid guided the team home with 5 wickets to spare in a clinical performance.

The 5th XI delivered a resounding win with Rohit’s 68 and Bobby’s 36 powering them to 221. Izzy took player of the match after taking 4-12 off 4 overs to go with a run-a-ball 16 with the bat. That’s the future right there 🔥

The 6th Team had a special first outing of 2026! Jayesh led with the bat as the team posted 199. Rohan shined with the ball as they managed to defend the total by 8 runs! 💚

The 2s had a frustrating loss at home to Northwood despite Tom Mac and Bobby C’s 116-run partnership taking them to 211/7, dropped catches proved costly as they slipped to a three-wicket defeat. The 3s also came up short against Old Eascotians, with Waheed’s 75 unable to chase 236/9.

The Sunday XI finally won a toss and put up a mammoth score of 386 led by Oli’s maiden century for the club. Scoring 109* off only 42 balls, he may be in contention for the quickest ever century in RCC history🤔🔥

🏏 GAME WEEK 11 🏏

Another big weekend for Rickmansworth, with all six senior sides in action. Plenty to play for as we head into the middle of the season.

The 1XI travel to Bushey after last week’s win over Ickleford sent Ricky to the top of the table. Alec Maggi returns after taking one in the ribs yesterday -hopefully he’s had enough ice on it! Harvey is also back to captain the side as they look to complete the league double over Bushey and extend their position at the top.

The 2XI host Northwood looking to keep their good run going. I’m sure they’ll be pleased to see Tom McWilliam again after his best Stuart Broad impression in the reverse fixture. Viv also comes into the side to add a bit more strength.

The 3XI take on Old Eastcotians knowing a win could really open things up. A result here would put them right back in the mix and kick-start a charge up the table.

The 4XI head to local rivals Chorleywood, with Neil back in charge after a couple of weeks away watching England comfortably deal with India in the T20s \(3\-0\). Local derbies are always good occasions, so this should be another competitive one.

The 5XI face Redbourn under Bobby Shome. It’s an experienced side, with the likes of Matt Ivy, Bobby himself and Rickmansworth’s all-time leading run scorer, Paul Blackwell, all in the ranks. 🦡

For the first time this season, the 6XI are also in action, with Graham leading the side against Old Albanians. Great to have enough availability to put out six senior teams—it says a lot about where the club is at.

Hopefully it’s another big day for Ricky. Six games, six wins, and a few well-earned beers back at the club afterwards. 🍻💚
