Great sessions today Youth Boxing 1700 and the Boxfit pictured above. Good drills and Sparring with the Help of Coach Henry in the 1930 Session.

Friday we have Jasper & Buddy boxing on the Pound for Pound Show and Saturday & we are to Eastboune for the Southern Counties Development Final for Alastair Saturday.

A GREAT DAY OF AMATEUR BOXING

Two of our team, Buddy Chivers and Alastair Eede, represented R&VB in the Hampshire vs Sussex Development Championships yesterday. Both faced very tough opponents and produced performances to be proud of.

Buddy boxed a top-class opponent in the Under-50kg category and unfortunately lost by split decision. It was a very competitive bout in which Buddy caused his opponent plenty of problems. He enjoyed the experience, learned a great deal and will take those lessons into his next bout in a few weeks.

Alastair earned a hard-fought 4–1 split-decision victory against an excellent opponent from Brighton & Hove. Already the Hampshire Development Champion, he now progresses to the Southern Counties final in Eastbourne next weekend.

With Alastair’s dedication and consistency, we hope he can become Southern Counties Champion and progress to face the London champion.

The Development Championships are a demanding competition, particularly as they are the first championships many boxers experience. They must recover, prepare and peak again each weekend for as long as their journey continues.

The standard across all the gyms was fantastic. The commitment shown by every boxer and coach makes all the hard work worthwhile.

We are incredibly proud of our lads. Well done, Buddy and Alastair! 👊🏻

🥊 A fantastic day for Alastair and Team R&VB! 🥊

Alastair won his Under-70kg Hampshire and Isle of Wight Development Championship bout today with another brilliant third-round stoppage! 🏆

The victory takes him through to face the Sussex champion next Saturday.

Alastair has worked incredibly hard to reach this point. His effort, commitment and consistency have been outstanding, and we are all extremely proud of him.

Next weekend, Buddy and Aly will also be representing R&VB at Pound for Pound Southampton on the Inner City show.

As a new club, it is fantastic to see how far we have come. We have helped develop these boys into young men and prepared them to compete in championships and Box Cups.

A massive thank you to Dan, Beth, Emma and Henry for helping me run the amateur club. I am excited to see us continue developing even more boxers in the future.

Finally, thank you to all our members who came to support Alastair today—and to everyone who continues to support our boxers and the club. It means so much to us all. 👊🏻

A Busy Week this week with sparring, Sunday some fantastic rounds for buddy in preparation for the Development Championships with Saints Abc paying us a visit and then Jasper over to Posidon Monday and a trip for Buddy Jasper and Thomas to Mountbatten last night with is always a brilliant experience for them.

Alastair is out again this Saturday for the under 70kg Hampshire and iilse wight development Final at Paulsgrove. First bell will be 1230 for anyone that would like to support.

Well Done to Alastair Winning his bout at Pauls grove in the England boxing National Championships Hampshire and Isle of Wight Semi Final. Alastair won via stoppage in the 3rd round Setting him up confident for the Hampshire Ilse of Wight finals Next week in Paulsgrove. Onwards and upwards a fantastic learning curve and our first ever Entry into a championship. Everyone is Very proud of his hard work and dedication.
